Moby Dick Waterfront Resort Motel

"We had a wonderful stay here. We loved the beautiful view from our balcony of the Clarence River and pelicans. We enjoyed fresh fish, prawns and chips from the Fisheries Co-op next door. The staff were so friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. We walked to the Sunset and Wine Bar for exactly that, beautiful and a 10 walk from accom. Coles supermarket a 12 minute walk or 2 minute drive away. Turners Beach, Whiting Beach and city centre all 5 minute drive. We had such a relaxing stay and plan to stay at Moby again. Highly recommend!"

"Great location near centre of town. We booked a small room without an outdoor area which was perfect for our one night stay. But most room had outdoor areas with balconies on the second floor. A very short walk to the Bowls Club, and not far to the Main Street. But if you want easy walking access to the beach, not for you. There is a big hill to get there."

The Sands Resort

"The resort was very clean and staff very friendly, but when you are paying over $500 / night , I think the property needs modernising, new untenciles, air conditioning in all rooms, block out blinds, extra bin bags, a bin in the bathrooms, a fridge without rust spots on it. If you are travelling with a baby who has a pram be prepared to carry up all the steps as no ramps or lifts to your room. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the accommodation definitely needs a renovation for their furnishings."

"Fabulous position. We stayed in a motel room overlooking the garden and pool. Comfortable and just enough space for a few nights. If staying longer would recommend a one bedroom unit. Staff very helpful, we enjoyed our stay."
