This property was beautiful , great friendly staff, the mural on the wall was some amazing talent. Met the owners and they have worked hard to improve the property. I would highly recommend this property to stay at 5 STAR !

We loved staying there. Walking distance to the center of Jaco. The room and the bathroom were clean and in great conditions. They have a good pool. It has been the cleanest we have seen in our trip. I would recommend staying there if you want to stay in Jaco for a couple of days.

good location but terrible staff in my opinion

located very close to beach. 3 minute walk to beach. they had a bar but really was not open and they didn't have anything to order expect bear which was limited too. I did not find the staff too friendly. at check out, i felt i was treated like a crook as they had someone check to make sure we did not take any towels or anything else. i will not recommend this place or stay here again.

This was the perfect option for us as best friends travelling to Jaco. From booking, to check in, to check out…we were very well looked after. Communication was excellent when arranging transportation or enquiring about the local area. The hotel felt like our own personal oasis, many times having the pool or our back patio all to ourselves. Even the other travellers we met there were super friendly and happy to be there too. I can’t say enough about the hard working staff, always smiling and eager to help. Daniel from the reception was an instant friend, with a warm and welcoming smile after a long day of travelling. The wonderful owners were on site for a part of our visit, and we had a blast talking and learning about their experiences too. Salt of the earth people that really care and appreciate your time spent there. Yes that’s you guys Paula, Tina and Chuck. Thank you so much. I cannot wait to come back to Bird of Paradise. Pura Vida 🙏

The price is too high and the service cannot keep up. Although it was the weekend, there were very few customers. The rooms on the first floor have windows but they cannot be opened, so they have to rely on air conditioning. I only stayed there for one night and the air conditioner broke. Suddenly there was a constant noise and I called the person on duty and asked him if I could change rooms as it was too loud. very scary. He said he needed to ask his boss or someone for instructions and left and never came back

This is a basic but reliable, clean and comfortable hotel. It my second stay. The most important thing about this hotel is that it quiet. It is about 100m from the main street so it is super quiet. Hotels on main street have severe noise issues. This is not a hotel you linger in. You sleep, shower and leave. The rooms are VERY small so you can't really hang out in them. But you can go out to beach or restaurants/coffee nearby. Pool is clean. Breakfast is very basic but many places nearby. Bed is comfortable. AC is great. The only issue is that hot water for shower might not be reliable but I waites for a while and it was warm enough. This is due to solar powered water heater. I had another issue with shower head. Next morning they replaced it. You can contact them on WhatsApp with issues and they reply promptly. Security is tight but someone is present 24/7. Give them the key when you leave and get it back when you return. Front desk helped me get a large taxi no issue. Although the room is small there are many chairs and tables just outside the room you can hang out at.

The room was basic with a bed, bathroom and TV but met my needs overall. The staff is remarkable and the pool came in handy after a long day of hiking. The place is close to everything and centrally located.

Right in the heart of Jaco. Beach & restaurants are right there. Swimming pool. Staff was relaxed & 24/7. Only issue was breakfast. Ham & cheese panini &juice every morning No choices. The best breakfast restaurant in Costa Rica is next door.

Really liked the location and place was clean. Jose was a big help and super informational at the front desk. We were able to ask questions and get information from him. The hotel itself was great. 3 minute walk to the beach. They have a pool and bar well kept and lawn games to play at night.
