"We chose this hotel because it was close to the navy base and had a shuttle to graduation. It is not a five star hotel, but it was clean and the staff was exceptional. Every staff member we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. They made the stay enjoyable. They have limited breakfast choices, mainly yogurt, juice, eggs, fruit and assorted pastries but it was fresh and we were happy with a light breakfast. It was minutes away from the base and the metra train that can take you into Chicago. We would definitely stay there again if we visit the town in the future."

"The water pressure was horrible. It was like using an 8 oz. water bottle to shower. The complimentary breakfast was coffee, apple juice, orange juice, and prepackaged muffins. It was crazy!! Gone are the glory days of Howard Johnson!!"

"Parking was convenient and secure, and the room itself was clean and comfortable. We did not use the breakfast service. Danielle, who assisted us during evening check-in, was excellent—professional, welcoming, and very informative, especially as we were in town for a Navy graduation. Unfortunately, the experience declined significantly after that. We were required to check out a day early, and the morning staff was noticeably less helpful and far less professional. When I inquired about a refund for the unused night, I was told it would need to be handled through Expedia. However, after contacting Expedia, I was informed that the property manager, Tammy, had directly declined the refund request—even though we did not stay for that night. This lack of accountability and inconsistency in customer service was extremely disappointing. While the property is conveniently located near the naval base and meets basic expectations for cleanliness, the way this situation was handled reflects poorly on management and significantly impacted our overall experience."

"Filthy pig sty! Stay away! It’s disgusting. The outside has trash all over and there is broken wood and siding and a broken banister and windowsill and window frame. Broken and torn signs. A pile of trash by the office and on the other side of elevator is a pile of used building supplies with nails in them. The vinyl siding is filthy and looks like oil is splashed on it. Sidewalks are stained and doors to rooms are dirty and scraped up. Oh… the office had a rat trap in it right by the front door. They did not even try to hide it. The office as well as the room we looked at had a very strong smell of curry. And the room also had a smoke smell even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. The floor did not look swept of mopped. The bathroom sink counter was broken and partially hanging and would have gotten caught on and torn any clothes you were wearing while standing at sink. Omg the bathroom walls looked like literal crap was wiped on them and then barely wiped off!!! Around the wall of the light switch in bathroom looked like it was a miners hands barely washed and then he had been using that wall to dry his hands. Dirty stain on bedspread that appeared to be blood and I was told it was glue. Glue? What!?!?! I didn’t look at sheets cuz I was scared to touch bedspread. Only TWO cars in entire parking lot! I’m guessing they all left like I did! Then! These guys had the nerve to charge me for three full nights through Expedia!! Omg!"
