As Indian, it was a comfortable stay. Fits my budget and very good indian food nearby, maybe the best indian food on the east coast.
Rooms were clean. Street smells, a bit unsafe but we dint mind as the prices were low.
A pleasant stay.
The staff were very friendly and willing to accommodate our requests.
Clean room with all amenities.

Cheap hotel was worth the stay.
For what I paid, overall it was worth stating here. The bed was huge and comfy. The room was clean. The hotel did smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways, but not my room. Everyone on the front desk were very friendly and always helpful. This is a simple hotel so if you’re after luxury, this is not for you.
My room had a small fridge which did come in handy.
In general, this was an enjoyable stay at the Haiban inn. Our deluxe room was super clean and looked new, which was a pleasant surprise. However, most of the staff was very cold and unfriendly with us through our stay. The main good point about this place is the proximity to the PATH train which allowed us to reach manhattan in less than 30 min at any hour. In general, we recommend this hotel and enjoyed our stay.
Stayed one night at Haiban Inn and had a good experience overall. The location is super convenient—just a short walk to the Journal Square PATH station, and surrounded by great Indian restaurants.
The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a quick overnight stay—microwave, mini fridge, and decent Wi-Fi. Check-in was smooth and the staff was friendly and helpful.
There’s no private parking, but I was able to get a street parking, which made overnight parking easy and affordable—no issues finding a spot nearby especially late night.
It’s not fancy, but for the price and location, it’s a solid choice. I’d definitely consider staying here again for a short trip or transit stop.
Very comfortable hotel, helpful staff.
Very close to the Journal Square Path train. Via the Path trains, both midtown and downtown Manhattan is an easy and quick trip away.
Hotel is located in the heart of a friendly and safe Indian neighborhood.
The renovated rooms are very nice.
It was quiet and the beds was comfortable need better pillows though they were very flat had to buy my own and most of the sockets didn’t work.

Beeing a 2-star hotel, there's not much to expect. Staff at lobby was good, check-in was easy and the room is fair. Bathroom seemed recently remodeled and looked good. Cleanliness was ok but room for improvement.
The hotel is okay, just for sleeping. It's a good price if you're going to NY and are looking to avoid those High prices. When we got to the room the bed sheets were full of hairs, long hairs, short hairs, hair everywhere. We had to buy new sheets and put them. The closet door was broken and the broken one was left in the room without fixing. One of the days we got there and there were suspicious people inside near the lobby, they looked homeless. And the areas around the hotel smell really bad. Good place just needs cleaning, clean the room and beds, please. A good thing, the room was really quiet, there was no noise even though there was an event in the street. For that I'm grateful.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The room seemed clean when we got there. Water took a long time to heat up but did eventually come. Loud area at night and was impossible to find parking and had to park almost 10 minutes away in a garage. Staff seemed friendly. Honestly not to bad for a budget option.
