Not what I expected

I was a little disappointed when arriving at Aju Hillel 14. The entry was very sketchy and I wasn’t sure if I’d arrived at the right place. The room was much smaller than I had anticipated - I ended up sleeping next to my suitcase as there was no room for it on the floor - and it didn’t appear to have been throughly cleaned. The location was good - walking distance to the Old City and the Machane Yehuda market is very close by as well as some nice restaurants and coffee places (Menza and Aroma). The street below was very noisy throughout the night. I’d probably spend a little more and book a proper hotel next time!

Great property for couple who like to enjoy the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. Walkable to everywhere we wanted and were able to discover many areas off the typical tours by just wandering. Property management was responsive and all the check in/ check out procedures were organized and easy. Room was comfortable, updated and clean and a great value for the price.

Amazing Apartment Aju

My stay at the Aju apartment was amazing. The host Asaf was very helpful and made me feel very welcome. Everything was clean. The room was lovely and cozy, also good view from the window. The location is very good, nice coffee place just around the corner.

Great value

Yes, the apartment is small but the building is clean, safe and the rooms are well equipped. The management went above and beyond to help me retrieve lost airport luggage and to resolve other issues as well. The building's location is excellent, right next door to a supermarket, near restaurants, shops, the old city, etc. Overall I'd say Aju was a great value.

Expect rooms to be much smaller than you think. Can be a very sketchy entry way, but once you get settled, you'll get comfortable with the space. It is clean, with a great location and feels very safe with the locked front door.

The staff was very helpful especially Asaf who was an incredibly nice person and helped us with directions on how to get around and how to connect with internet , even on our car rentals etc.. We were very blessed to have a contact we could reach anytime, 24/7. Also well organised on how to get to the room all done online. It was a very pleasant stay and very cute, small suite close to everything. I would definitely go there again if I return to Jerusalem! Thank you Aju Hillel!

caught Covid-19 from staying here, the rooms were small, payed for 3 days cleaning and got 2 days cleaning, it was very small, value for budget would had been better to book at the jeru caps hotel. could had been better. REALLY SMALL.

The location is perfect just in the center with close by restaurants. Famous Yaffa street promenade and it's main attractions. I suggest to park in the park and go and use light train back . Be sure to notice that hillel street goes down to Mamila but with another street name . The Aju was clean looks good renovated a practical small kitchen in the room. Down is Aroma burger pizza an Irish pub and so much more men Yehuda ave. The shuk mahane Yehuda all with close vicinity.

Nice, friendly room in the heart of town

Convenient location in the heart of town. Safe neighbourhood within walking distances to bus services and trams. Supermart just downstairs. Easy access to a number of restaurants and bars. No fuss check-in.

The location of this place is wonderful, close to the Old City, the Mahane Yehuda market, Jaffa street, Ben Yehuda street, etc. Very easy to walk around, cafés, restaurants and shops abound. We had room H301 which was tiny but very clean and comfortable. Fridge, microwave, water boiler, Nescafé espresso maker and a few glasses available. We also managed to check in a bit earlier than allocated time. Communication with the host was difficult and unresponsive on our way out.

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment - it is a brand new apartment that was very clean, neat and simple decor, with good communication from the owners and a good location. We liked the clear instructions we received directing us to self-check in (note, you have to complete the online check in to access directions which is unusual for an Expedia hotel and might be difficult without a sim-card). We have rated this stay 4-stars (borderline 3-stars) because there were a few issues during our stay - however these things could be easily fixed and increase this stay to a 5-star stay: 1) The shower needs replacement/repair. The shower head although brand new was broken on our arrival. There was a plastic over-lay to the shower head which contained the holes for water - this had basically disconnected from the shower head spurting water everywhere. The shower-head bracket also was not tightened properly, meaning the shower head just kept dropping onto the floor and would not remain held in the bracket on the wall. 2) There were no utensils in the apartment despite having a microwave, coffee machine and kettle (there were 2x drinking glasses and 2x wine glasses). A basic sets of cutlery and plate/bowl/mug would go a long way to make these facilities useful 3) Our TV was not working. The owner Aju was very attentive and attended our room at ~10pm to try to fix it, but it was unable to be fixed. A repair-man told us he would return at 10am in the morning to fix it, but never returned
