The property was unique but very comfortable. Had dinner at the guesthouse both night it was great. We just had toast for breakfast so can’t do much wrong with that. Would recommend to anyone that wants an authentic experience.
The hotel allowed me to shift my stay to 1 day earlier due to last minute change in my itinerary. This old estate is managed by a lovely couple but a bit hard to locate and not easily accessible to the main road. I had to leave to catch the train at 4 AM, the rickshaw driver asked for 200 while in fact he agreed with Vishal (the hotel's owner) at 120
A fabulous 350 year old guest house. The rooms are delightful and have everything you could need. A warm welcome and very helpful staff. The rooftop restaurant was good a small menu all cooked to order - try the Shahi special I loved it. It is close to all the sights to see and tours can be arranged.

Tipica Haveli
Nel centro storico (raggiungibile solo a piedi o in tuctuc) si sviluppa in altezza tramite una ripida scala.
Possiede un paio di terrazze panoramiche all ultimo piano dove è possibile farsi servire dinner o/e breakfast.
Gestione familiare molto disponibile.

Raro
The old town is a myriad of narrow dusty dirty streets in amongst all this was a family run hotel which have fine a great job of making the best of what they have
Rooms are big sat tv air con bathroom good size with hot water
There’s lots of stairs it’s over 3 or four floors with a reasonably priced restaurant on top beet for 200 and a view of the fort is very impressive we dined there both nights and got our washing done also
Got bitten a lot not sure if from surrounding area or room but they could do with mozzie screens in bathroom open vent
Food was tasty breakfast was good
Bed was huge and comfy good little find of your on foot travelling your right in the middle of it not far from the clock tower
Great stay . Would go back . Lovely family. Organised our Taxi for Udaipour . Will be back for sure. Enjoyed the rooftop food . Great omelett . 😁

Interesting place to stay, good value
This small hotel is in an interesting old building in old town. Great view from the rooftop cafe/restaurant which serves excellent food at very reasonable prices. You get there by tuk tuk which they pay for. Great for one or two day stay, tall people beware, low lintels.

Horrible location
Hotel run by a family. Cooperative staff but location is very bad. No four wheelers access. Food quality just normal.
We really enjoyed staying here! The building is right in the heart of the old city and beautifully upkept. The only downside was the balcony that our room had above us, which was apparently used for storage of beverages. I felt a little uncomfortable with this, but it didn't dampen our experience. The roof top has amazing views! And the food is pretty good too.
The location of this hotel is the worst part. We could not bring our car here. We had to transfer all our luggage to a tuk tuk 1 km before and had to pay rs 50 each time we wanted to come and go. The room was stuffy and had a lot of mosquitos. Could not open windows because of mosquito danger. Bathroom didn't have any vent or exhaust and the tub had a layer of dust on it.
This the perfect hotel to stay in Jodhpur because it is situated right in the heart of the city, in a street where no cars have access, and half-way between the Maharanghar Fort, and the Clock Tower market. Exploring on foot is the best because from the hotel you are immediately amongst locals living their everyday lives. The hotel itself is very comfortable with large rooms with a seating area and coffee and tea tray. The well equipped bathrooms are also spacious. There is efficient air-conditioning if it gets too hot outside.
But what really adds to the appeal of this lovely hotel is the roof top terrace where, with extraordinarily beautiful views, all the meals are served. And the meals are very good, all cooked to order, in the small kitchen which is also on the roof. The staff of three are always available and do their utmost to ensure you enjoy your stay - they do all the kitchen and cleaning and are very efficient at both. The hotel also offers an excellent laundry service at a very good price. The clothes go off in the morning and are returned beautifully ironed and folded, the same evening.
The owner, Mr Shah, has very thoughtfully, produced an excellent map leaflet to help you navigate the narrow street, He can also arrange any trips you may choose, as well as organising airport transportation.
It's beautiful haveli the owners were so lovely kind and helpful they made us feel like we are at home. The food was amazing hats of to chef excellent location very clean tidy place. Loved it loved it wish every hotel to have owners like them..Thanks to them they have made this holiday very special and will be very memorable
Situated in the old city in a very narrow alley accessible by autos
The hotel is full of character and the rooms are spacious .
There are very steep steps up to some rooms and the roof top restaurant so these would make it difficult for people with mobility issues
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff are most helpful, willing and pleasant.
This is the place to stay if you want to experience the heart of Jodhpur. The view of the Fort and the whole city at night or day from the rooftop is awesome.
The food was excellent wanted to stay longer.
This place is only suitable for people that can climb up a lot of steep stairs.
If you can go you won't be disappointed.
What a treat this little place was, tucked away in the backstreets of this beautiful blue city. The owners were friendly in greeting us and showing us to our room, along with a map orientation of the city. The hotel has lots of character, with every room offering a unique blend of history and culture in its furnishings. Our bathroom was great, with nice consistent hot water and amenities. WIFI within the property also worked well. The roof terrace with fantastic views over the Fort was a real treat. You can walk within quick time to the attractions of the city and easily make it back to the hotel feeling safe even during the night time. For something different, it was well worth the stay at this unique property.
This is an old Havel with beautiful design and decor but we did not find the hospitality to be what we experienced elsewhere in India. If you want to experience an interesting neighborhood wandering the alleyways in an old section of town this is a good choice.
This place is like an dream living in the middle of the beautiful blue city together next to the locals. There is no better place coming to jodhpur to feel the blue city the right way. Rooms are great, food eatable, guesthouse owners give you the perfect stay, you feel line family. All in one the best place to stay if coming to jodhpur to feel and explore this city.
This was a small refurbished old haveli situated in the heart of the old city. The rooms were beautifully decorated by the owner and his wife who were both very helpful with our onward travel to Jaisalmer. Unfortunately we were only here for one night but would definitely recommend it. A hidden gem,
Vi havde et fint ophold, dog var servicen ikke overvældende, men fine specielle rammer, men desværre købte vi en tur med homestay i ørkenen hos hotelejere , og vi fik slet ikke hvad vi var blevet lovet, så køb andre steder.
We stayed for two nights in January.
Tucked into the narrow laneways of the Old City, Shahi Guest House really got us into the heart of Jodhpur.
The room was large, clean, and bright with modern facilities and hair dryer. The building itself is open and welcoming.
We arrived quite late as our train was delayed, but the staff stayed up to accommodate us without complaint. Mr. Bantu, the proprietor, was very helpful in making sure we had proper directions to where we wanted to go and how much to reasonably expect to spend on taxi and tuk tuk rides. He did currency conversion for us as well.
The laneways of this part of the city are too narrow for cars, but the thinner tuk tuks can navigate them without much fuss. This meant that we spent much of our time on foot, but being so close to the Clocktower marketplace and Mehrangarh Fort this was not a problem at all and added to the charm of our trip.
The best asset of the Guest House has to be the rooftop cafe/seating area. We sat in the sun with a gorgeous view of the Fort and the rooftops of the Blue City. The food was delicious and while they offer room service, it would be a shame to miss out on a leisurely rooftop breakfast, taking in the sites and sounds of Jodhpur.
Amazing and very friendly staff and management. It is a hidden gem in the old city with fantastic views. Also serves the best lassie. Will definaltely go back.

difficult to get to by anything other than auto.
The booking through Expedia was very good and it was easy enough to contact the hotel and arrange for a pick up from airport. However the place could be accessed only by auto as it is in the city area with narrow streets which had the usual smelly drains and dirt which prospective visitors should be aware of.
We were given a smaller room the first night and it was extremely cold. There was no wardrobe or storage space in the rooms which are tastefully done though. We were moved to a bigger room for the rest of our stay, There was no space really to put our stuff except hang it on the walls or spread it around. The roof top restaurant is very nice to sit in during the warm mornings though even with a wood fire burning with smoke blowing into our face it was cold in the evenings. The food was okay.
We had an issue with the hotel owner demanding payment in cash during checkout as his card machine was not working. We had to go to an ATM and draw the maximum allowed as part payment (Due to recent changes in what could be withdrawn from an ATM during a day in India) and were saved from a difficult situation only by the card machine springing to life. Added tension at a time when we were under pressure to get to the airport.
Needless to say we would not be returning to Shahi Heritage in a hurry!!
