Peoperty is clean and has good staff. I love the fact that practically everything is automated so if you dont even want the human interface with most of the hotel services, that is possible. I enjoyed my stay and will come back

Be very assertive and ask to see the room first
The 2 receptionists had no clue on which room was clean and ready to be assigned. I had to be very assertive and asked to see each room assigned first. 1st room small, dirty, curtain torn. 2nd room had the sheets and beddings on the floor. 3rd room was descent. And the receptionists were laughing as if that was acceptable. Some people are clueless about customer service. Walking to the local mall or local restaurants from the hotel can be anxiety provoking. I would not do it after sunset. Breakfast was descent with many choices. The gym was ok. The Massage Therapist is very competent.

It took 3 attempts before I could get a descent room. 1st room assigned was small, dirty, curtain torn. 2nd room assigned had all sheets and beddings on the floor. 3rd room was descent. I booked this particular hotel after reviewing it about how the hotel has introduced robots into its system , whereby robots will meet you and assist with the luggage and also tend to room service needs such as ordering a meal, my partner and I was excited about this so we decided to give it a try , I was indeed wowed by the fact that I received a very rehearsed greeting by a staff member at the front desk who later claimed to be the manager on duty , we enquired about the robots and her reply was tainted with lies, she stated that they had to be recharged because they had a function the previous night and wasn’t charged, I told her I want to atleast see them , she later phoned me to tell me that the robots had to go for software update and won’t be available for another week or so Failed promises and misleading advert on hotel sky I must say and I will make the public away of this scam . It was very disappointing to expect a mere overnight stay instead of an experience

Good Afternoon NerthenI trust that my message finds you well.First and foremost, the Robots were in for a scheduled service which should have been communicated to you from the start, so for that I do apologize. Please be advised that the robots are currently in phase one of their development - this means they are programmed to answer question pertaining to the hotel and it's services. The robots functionalities do allow them to assist with transportation of luggage as well as delivery of food and drinks to rooms however these phases are not yet concluded. super neat hotel, but very slow service
The hotel itself was in excellent condition. However it took almost an hour to check in, to be told that the room was not ready for as, at 5pm! The bean to cup coffee was great, until it ran out of milk and it took 3 calls to reception over an hour to get the issue resolved. The other machine on the floor needed emptying. With no kettle in the rooms, it was a long morning.

Check in was terrible as they allowed a whole bus to block the way in front of the hotel for drop off, the signs pointing to where to park for check in esp for underground parking are not clear. the scanning machine (for drivers license and license disk) was not working hence too much time wasted on that on both check in and exit

Hotel Sky is one of my favorite places of accommodation.It is a stylish, comfortable, and affordable boutique hotel, very secure and centrally located near Mandela Square. I love the available coffee and tea facilities and the excellent restaurants, the friendly reception and helpful staff.
