Why wake up in the city in a sky riser when you have this gem?! Warm welcome on most reliable shuttle, 15 min drive from airport. Great communications, friendly staff. Clean spacious room with tea and coffee. Borehole safe water. Peaceful and quiet. Definitely will become my go-to!

The restaurant was a little odd since there was only an employee there, but the food was very nice. The game around the lodge was neat to see. The room was very nice also.

This place is a hidden gem, conveniently located near the airport. I had an amazing experience staying here, thanks to the host who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. If you're looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay, then this is the place to be.

The firepit area looked like it was going to be an amazing finished project after the custom privacy treewall/fence. I wish the pool was heated. I did not have hot water for a shower. Bummer . Alice at the front desk was unbelievable she book my whole day schedule car rides and loaned me Rand for my ride till i got my own. At one point i asked her if she had a twin working there she got my wine at dinner she was at the front desk everytime i stop in there(like 7 times) and morning walk I saw her outback. Breakfast was amazing, dinner was perfect, dessert was unbelievable.

This is the best game lodge destination I’ve been to. I highly recommend this property. Louise, Judy and Alice made my 4 day stay a relaxing time. They went out of their way to ensure my stay was peaceful after a stressful couple of weeks travelling. If you’re looking for some downtime at a game lodge near the airport than make your reservation at bird and game lodge . See you all again in a few weeks!

Louise came to pick us up at the airport within 10 minutes of phoning. Super quick. Quick check-in and Louise was very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was exactly what we needed for 1 night and warm. Staff were on hand to offer help and guidance. I would recommend this property and will stay next time.

Room was adequate for a cheap price. Helpful n very friendly hotel staff. They helped me get a personal driver for touring. Cool to see some animals running around the grounds. FREE breakfast too! Wasn’t so keen about having to run the hot water in the sink n shower for a few minutes in order to get hot water, but it only took a few minutes, just a small minor inconvenience.

To cold to go in the pool but even in off season it was clean. Room was not fancy BUT clean and had everything you need. Food was excellent. Had both the diner and breakfast well priced and very good. The staff went above and beyond and was very helpful. Highly recommend

It was an exceptional experience being that the lodge is in a secluded area and surrounded by nature brings forth a calm atmosphere. The staff members are well trained, very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend the lodge for anyone who is travelling to JHB and looking for somewhere to stay.
