I wasted 1hour 20 minutes at the airport upon arrival from Nairobi because guesthouse didn’t send driver to pick me up. We had full agreement to meet me with name picket. With the help of airport information desk, guesthouse was called and sent driver. It took another hour. Check in employee asked 150 R for the pick up which is 50 R higher than showed in their policy. Very poor business. No soul !

1. STEPHANO- THE MANAGER, IS PROFESSIONAL, HAS CUSTOMER ETIQUETTE, HELPED A LOT WITH TRANSPORTATION TO CONFERENCE VENUE. 2. ROOM - UNCOMFORTABLE,COLD, AT SOME POINT I DISCOVERED A TINY BUT DANGEROUS LIZARD LIKE THING ON THE PILLOW, SPENT SLEEPLESS NIGHT. 3. SECOND & FORTUNATELY, LAST DAY, A NIGHTMARE, NO WATER , HAD TO CALL THEM, ONLY THEN , THEY TELL ME THEY WERE TOLD, BUT THEY DID NOT MAKE ME AWARE. I TOOK A BATH FROM THE BASIN, SOMETHING I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE, WORSE IN A GUEST HOUSE. THAT FOR ME, IS A ONE STAR FOR THE PLACE.

The host was okay. I mean Audrey BUT the hotel owner is a stupid man who is full of himself. I got in one night at about 9 20 pm and knocked the gate because it was drizzling. Audrey hurriedly opened the gate for me only to be followed by the man who I guess possessed firearm going by his gesture as he pointed his fingers at me saying' Never ever kick my gate again , I own this premise. Else I deal with u' as if I didn't pay a rent to him. I quickly pleased with him severally and made way for my room. The only God thing is Audrey and the meal. But this hostility by the owner is the worst I have ever seen Haven travelled to over 11 countries. Again they don't allow visitor into the room . I mean visitor male or female. Not one who is intending to sleep over. Just a visitor. Yet it is not on their web page or on hotel. com page. All in all I CAN NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!! That property owner should be warned or his property blacklisted from hotels.com

Feel part of the family

Just an overnighter to use the airport in and out, but we received great friendly service from Suzanne. We were in the annex away from the main building, a little cramped with only a bead curtain between the bed and the toilet / shower but it was clean with fridge, tea and coffee and a tv (free to air channels only). Planes overhead are noisy but a curfew applies so not too bad. No this is not the Ritz, but the welcome you receive, the service and family atmosphere make up for that.

A caring peaceful place close to the airport

Jeg var glad for mit ophold her. Tæt på lufthavnen og alligevel fredfyldt. Skøn have med en svømmepool som jeg nød aften og morgen.. fugle sang og grønne træer.. Morgenmaden var dejlig Værten Suzanne er bare så fantastisk. Åben og venlig... Hun kørte mig til / og hentede mig fra den lokale restaurant. Suzanne hjalp med alt hvad jeg havde brug for blandt andet en sightseeing i Johannesburg. Jeg nød også at snakke med Suzanne og hendes familie

Guter Platz - hervorragende Gastgeberin!

Überraschenderweise erhielt ich am Tag vor der Ankunft von Suzanne die Sms-Anfrage, ob ich Flughafentransfer wünsche. So erfuhr ich viel Interessantes auf den beiden Fahrten vom und zum Flughafen. Das Airport Modjadji liegt direkt unter der Flugbahn und ist entsprechend laut. Es ist sehr familiär und ruhig, in einem sicheren Quartier, in welchem man spazieren kann. Frühstück vielfältig! Für mich der perfekte Übernachtungsort zwischen zwei Flügen.

It's a decent enough place with good service and convenient location. There was however no fan or air-conditioner, no en-suite bathroom and the TV was terrible. But the breakfast was ample and excellent so I'd use this place again if needed.

Great Guesthouse while transiting through J'Burg

Had a wonderful three-night stay at the Modjadji Guesthouse. The new owners - Suzanne and Terrence - really work hard to make the guests feel welcome and comfortable. I arrived late evening in J'Burg - and was met at the airport by Suzanne - as per my request. Its a great feeling not to have to go around looking for a taxi at a late hour at an airport I did not know well. The backyard/garden by the pool is a wonderful relaxing place to catnap, read and take some sun.

Leuk guesthouse op de verkeerde plek.

Guesthouse met een heel mooie tuin aan het eind van de startbaan van het Tambo vliegveld. Dus veel geluidsoverlast. Gastvrouw is zeer attent.
