The restaurant in the hotel was outstanding. The food and the service were excellent. The room was ok. The shower was terrible. At one point it lost complete water pressure by itself. We had a brilliant holiday and found St Johns Island an excellent base. It is about half an hour from downtown Charleston and if you find The Battery you can park and it's lovely walk by the water into Charleston itself.
