"Didn’t get past checkin either time. First reservation disappeared over night. The person I talked to by phone the evening before was good but when I checked before I left home, neither the person that I called that day could find the reservation. I went somewhere else. Had a call the day after asking why I didn’t show up for the stay. This attempt, the person at the desk when she came out told the person in front of me she could have called as she had told her. I had mentioned using the bell to the first woman while we waited but that woman just smiled at me. She had a bike between her & the desk & I’m not sure she spoke English. I had a jacket on, saw a sign there was no elevator due to the flooding & was told my room was on the third floor.The back door was wide open blocked with a pair of sandals. I went halfway up the stairs already too warm from the wait, went back to the desk & said the room wouldn’t work for me. The same person didn’t offer an alternative, cancelled my reservation. I went somewhere else. The lobby looked okay. Too bad."
