Comfort Inn & Suites Junction City - near Fort Riley
2/10 Terrible
"I checked into room 115 at 11:15 p after a long day of driving. Entering the room, I noticed a musty smell and a kennel smell. I assume that this room is a pet-friendly room due to the smell and its location on the first floor. I have stayed at this hotel with my dog in the past. I figured that I coud deal with the smell for one night, and because it was so late, I did not make a "stink" about it. I took a shower and prepared for bed. When I came out of the shower I was dive bombed by a large fly. I managed to take it out with a hand towel. As I was dressing something landed on my foot. I jumped. I looked around for the culprit and saw a large black cricket. It hopped away and went into the closet where I could not find it. I put a towel at the base of the door and hoped that it would sleep in there. ("Jumping" ahead, there was a dead cricket on the floor in the bathroom the next morning-same one?)
As I finished preparing for bed, another fly divebombed me. I never found that one.
The room has 2 double beds and I chose the one closest to the front of the room. When I pulled the covers down I saw a large yellow moldy stain on the fitted sheet. I moved to the other bed. I travel with a weighted blanket, I slept on top of the flat sheet and used my travel pillow.
My phone did not charge while plugged into the lamp, so I moved the chair away from an outlet on the wall. The floor under the chair was soaking wet. Musty smell culprit.
No discount bc I booked thru Expedia."
"Great rooms. Was told the decor was going to change due to new owners, not a good idea. It has a unique KSU theme now, don't change it!
Also charge $10 for breakfast now, not good.
Think Hilton is needs to do better research on the local clientele and local nuance."
"Room was decent size, offered a mini fridge and freezer as well as microwave. Beds were very uncomfortable for couples, when one moves the entire bed moves. So needless to say we didn't sleep well. There were dogs barking for extended periods of time making it impossible to sleep. Breakfast was biscuits and gravy, eggs, waffles, etc and everything was empty besides a serving of eggs. There was cereal and stale bagels available and mini yogurt cups. The orange juice was 90% water, apple just was better but still heavily watered down. Staff was pleasant enough. All and all I would not want to stay again."
