Older property, but it is clean and accessible. Beds were very comfortable, room was dated, but clean. Check in was easy and fast. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, waffles, cereal, coffee and juices. We have stayed here before, and will use it regularly as our overnight stop. Someday, we may be able to stay longer and explore the area.

I hate having to leave negative reviews, but I have no choice this time. I've stayed at this motel several times over the past couple of years because of its location and fairly nice rooms (though extremely small). My most recent experience at Sun Valley Motel will be my last. Parking for a moving truck pulling a trailer is way too difficult on this small property. It's easy to pull the truck and trailer in, but getting out in the morning is the problem, which the manager could not understand. And the manager/owner was looking in my window to see inside my room while I was in there. I told her husband about it, but nothing more was said about it to me. I checked out the next morning and will not be going back. I paid them for two nights, plus a $40 pet fee for a little cat who spent most of the time in her pet carrier because she hates traveling. I even put my own comforter on the bed so as to not get any pet hair on their precious old bed spread. They have no problem charging you a ridiculous pet fee for an old 1950 motel room, then they spy on you through the window to try and see if you're doing anything wrong...or whatever. And I don't think they ever actually wash the filthy old tile floors! And every time I entered the room I had to spend way too much time trying to get the key card to work. I told the owner about it, but a different card did not fix the problem.

We wanted an inexpensive place to sleep and motel served that purpose. Most things were minimal including breakfast, but what we got was sufficient for us. Check-in was smooth. Someone before us had made a mess in breakfast area and the lady at the desk had just cleaned it up, then assisted us in making our waffles, plus made fresh eggs. We had a very good night's sleep, which was most important to us.

Clean and cute and a great value. They have gone to great lengths to spruce up the old place. Very nice. The town is a dump but this place a refreshing oasis.
