"Very large rooms, almost big enough to be called an apartment. Full kitchenette with dishes, stove, dishwasher. Closets and dressers too! Perhaps a bit vintage but comfortable beds and very convenient access to airport via the shuttle."
"We enjoyed our stay at the Alaskan Hotel very much! We knew it was an old hotel, built in 1913, but we enjoy unique, historic properties. That is not everyone’s preference. We had the “shared bathroom” experience because we booked last minute due to airline cancellations. That was fine with us - the bathrooms and showers were very clean - but again, that would not be everyone’s cup of tea. It was very well located for our needs so location was honestly our first concern. The staff was so nice - they let us check in early when we showed up from the airport, which we so much appreciated! Overall, it was a good but brief stay and we would book them again if we ever return to Juneau."
"Strongly recommend staying at the Best Western Country Lane Inn! The welcoming atmosphere of the lobby made a great first impression - complete with a life-size ceramic Retriever, a fireplace and the smell of baked cookies! The dining area is spacious. The large picture windows ensure the lobby is well lite. The Staff are friendly, professional and very helpful. Josh made excellent recommendations for purchasing salmon to ship to the Lower-48 and dining in Juneau. The shuttle service maintains a punctual pickup and drop-off schedule to downtown Juneau and the Airport. The breakfast bar is inviting and well stocked. The complimentary breakfast is delivered in a timely fashion and very tasty. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There was a lot of drawer space and a large area for hanging clothes along with an iron and ironing board. The wide screen TV made for easy viewing. The bathroom area has a large, well lite vanity, commode and a tub/shower combo. EXCELLENT water pressure and hot water. The towels were soft and fluffy. The property is beautifully maintained! The abundant georgous hanging flower baskets, urns of beautiful flowers, surrounding shrubs/trees/flowering plants give a sheltered feel to the property. WILL stay here again!"
"I know Juneau can be pricey so I booked the most reasonable room at $280 plus tax. It was on the first floor, which truly isn’t the first floor. It’s almost like a half basement a bit below the ground level. My room was underneath the deck of the restaurant and was a little claustrophobic. So fine for one night, but not the most ideal aesthetically. Also, there’s not much they can do about it but the road outside could be a bit noisy. But the staff very nice."
"Staff was helpful and hotel was fine. And it was clean.
It's a bit of a run down bldg. And it is expensive because it is in Juneau but it is right downtown. We had a room on the back and it was quiet. We were there for a short night before an early morning flight. The staff reserved a taxi for us for 5:30 am. The taxi did not arrive and the morning staff for since that they'd had problems with this taxi company. We had no problem getting a Lyft. The nighttime staff person thought maybe a taxi reservation would be better since it was such an early morning ride. But that didn't pan out. There was also quite a bit of a security line at the airport. We waited half an hour to get through the TSA PreCheck line. But that's not the hotel's problem; they were fine."
