Sea village was beautiful. We had a great view from the patio and even though the apartment didn't have air-conditioning, it was comfortable. Only thing missing was a beach.

The room is spacious and clean. The office staff was not very accommodating for early check in even after 1:00 pm. My wife explained that our house was being fumigated and have been out of our house since 6:45 am and early check in would help us out but to no avail. In fairness to her, their check in time is 4 pm. If I knew this earlier, I would not have booked with Sea View.

Great location in Kona

Six of us stayed one night. Great location with deck overlooking the ocean. Very good amenities. Murphy bed was comfortable. A/C is not automatic so you have to request it in advance (and pay extra). We just used fans and it was a little warm but ok. Would stay here again.

Great place!

Pleasant surprised especially from a property that was built in the 70’s. Very clean and the pool and hot tub was well cared for. Staff was very pleasant which is always nice to have.

This place is a real gem! Private deck overlooking the sea where whales are jumping, the waves crash into the pool and the landscaping is breathtaking. the pool is warm the closet hid a bed and there were tvs in the master bedroom and the living/dining room area. the dishwasher was dirty inside and some of the plates were not cleaned well but the views and quiet and ease of access to downtown and sight seeing was worth a few seconds of dish scrubbing. What a pleasure to stay in such a nice place with a full kitchen!

Great spot for the price. Large 2 beds and 2.5 ba

Nice condo, well equipped with everything we needed. Ocean view balance was great and where we spent most of our time watching the waves and even a few whales! Location was pretty good. About 1 mile walk to shops and restaurants. We had a car but some of the lots were $27+ for 2 hours. The checking & checkout is weird but we were warned in advance. The desk is only open from 8:30-5. We were called because maintenance needed access to our unit for something while we weren't there. Not a deal breaker but weird. A few laundry items were left from the previous guests and the floors were dirty but everything else was nice.

The condos were built in the 70’s and are in decent shape. The person who checked us in was warm and accommodating. Air conditioning costs $15 per day to unlock the portable units. The pool is decent but has weird rules like no games; Marco Polo or anything with a ball. The maintenance person and some people that were either investors or property managers made quite the spectacle of touring the property while we were in the pool. They were quite rude and definitely changed how we felt about the place. They argued with each other in front of us, and the maintenance manager yelled at one of my kids that wasn’t even in and hadn’t been in the pool pointing to the sign about the no Marco Polo rule. Overall, very off-putting. Checkout went fine. This place is a bit far from either of the towns nearby. You can easily walk to a nearby convenience store, but to go to town it’s a mile away. Not sure I would stay here again but the view was pretty and some of the staff were great.

The room is nice but the management of the property and staff is poor. The office closes at 5:30 so if you need something or help you won’t get any. There is a portable AC unit in the room that is locked and you must pay staff extra so they can come unlock it. I arrived at night so there was no staff that could unlock it and the room gets HOT & we could not sleep. I brought up the issue with the front desk person how it was never communicated to me that I had to arrive before 5:30 and about the AC unit and the woman just got defensive and blamed me saying I should’ve called to make sure everything was in place. I mean isn’t that their job to keep you informed?! Anyway there are better places to choose from so avoid this place. Also I don’t suggest going to the cafe nearby either, you’ll be waiting forever.

Sea Village is a wonderful option for a budget-conscious traveler in a group of 3-6 people. Pros: - It's close to the central tourist area of Kona. - The units have two bedrooms and a full kitchen. - The pool and community BBQ areas. - The staff are friendly. - They provide quality, high-powered fans. - Dolphins jumping in the bay! Cons: - You have to pay for AC, and it's not central. - The proximity to the road means it's very noisy at most hours between 7am and 9pm. - There is no sidewalk for walking to downtown Kona.(City's fault, not the property.) Overall, if you know you want to be central in Kona and need an affordable spot to jump off to local beaches and activities, this is a good option.

At check in we had a little bit of extended wait time. She may have been in training. I think there was some confusion at check-in which led to a walk-in where I was underdressed. Followed by a knock at the door at 9:20 a.m. thinking we had checked out. My guest was at the door with our breakfast while I was still underdressed.

Very roomy and comfortable. Clean nice amenities. Could have been cooler. Bedroom was hot. We had a good time and will return. Brandy at the front desk was very nice and helped me out in a stressful situation with booking an extra night when no one else could seem to remedy my situation! Was very grateful! Sea Village was good. I was in a 2bedroom 2bath that comfortably slept 6 with the murphy bed in the living room. I liked that it was in walking distance to the local farmer’s market, beach and the rental pedal bikes were right across the street. The rooms were decent, the beds were nice. Only down side was and they don’t let you know there is no central AC so the room got pretty warm during the day. It’s not too bad if you plan on spending most of your time out of the room, the nights were pretty cool. They do however have fans and stand alone AC units for $15 a day and you can only request one. Also the shower in the bathroom was tiny. I did have one issue, I was locked in my room on the first morning I was there. The screen door was locked from the inside and I couldn’t get it to open for about an hour it was about 6:30 in the morning and the front office didn’t open until 8:30. I did however get ahold of the maintenance guy but he was very rude and provided no help or reassurance. Luckily I was able to unlock it on my own after about an hour of carefully twisting and turning the lock. Overall it was Ok, I would come back and stay in a one bedroom as long as I had an AC unit.
