"It truly has panoramic view, and it’s gorgeous. The breakfast is ok, passable for a quick bite. I had the room facing the rocks, and it was great - definitely go for that. The staff is absolutely perfect, and huge thank you to Eleni for helping arrange plans and being so helpful!
It’s situated nicely for a short taxi ride up to grand meteoron monastery, and you can walk down from there. It takes about an hour, but highly recommend it. Also, the restaurant next door - Boufidis Greek Tavern - is a really good option for lunch/dinner.
However, my room’s temp control seemed to be broken - it wasn’t a huge deal since it was pretty nice weather, but it got stuffy at night. My bathroom had a very broken shower - the actual stem of the shower wasn’t secured, causing me to knock it around quite a bit. Also, the handheld shower component that holds the head upright was broken, and it laid precariously on a tiny shelf.
It’s a suitable hotel if you want to visit Kastraki, and I would stay again. "
"The front desk reception staff is friendly and will greet you each time you come and go from the hotel. The breakfast buffet has a few options of hot items like eggs, potatoes, and meat options. The coffee served is a bitter dark roast so personally it is not something I enjoyed. The dinner was the worst dishes I had my entire 10 day trip in Greece. The taste of the food was so horrible, my partner and I had 2 bites and decided we could not eat this food. We were charged and paid the full price for the food we would not eat and went to a restaurant in town instead. We had a 5 night stay at this hotel and went decided to only stay 2 of the nights due to the poor food, bad smell of the water used for showering, the hotel room only being accessible by stairs and no hotel laundry options"
"Very pleasant experience. Family owned with excellent hospitality. Property was clean and very quiet. We were able to get an excellent nights rest. The location is perfect for anyone exploring the area. You are a 10 minute walk to the village that has numerous places to eat. The tour vans will pick you up directly at the property and they have free parking on site. Nice people need a great choice."
"This is our fifth hotel we’ve stayed at in Greece, again we were pleased with our choice. It was located very close to the monasteries and within walking distance of restaurants and shopping, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and had a few gluten-free options. There was ample parking in front of the hotel. The only negative was the bed as it was quite firm and somewhat difficult to get comfortable in."
"This was a great, really well appointed apartment right in the centre of things, easy for restaurants, shopping, tourist information, bus station, and safe parking about 1 block away.
Very clean, with elevator, they left us some coffee, tea and a bottle of wine.
Owner was very helpful with advice on where to find soup (we both had colds).
Lovely patio balcony too."
