The hotel Amalia was amazing. The staff was excellent, as the room was as well. Breakfast was also excellent. The grounds and pool area were very clean, well kept, with excellent staff. We would definitely return. My only recommendation is the hallways could use a makeover. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel. We were treated like royalty at the Amalia.

Es war wundervoll

Der Aufenthalt in den Hotel war einfach wundervoll. Die Lage ist super, man ist nicht direkt in der Stadt und auch nicht weit weg. Das Personal ist höchst zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Wir hatten in unserer Buchung auch das Frühstück inbegriffen, welches zwar nicht variierte, aber eine große Auswahl hatte.

Hôtel bien placé pour visiter les météores, superbe piscine. Les chambres ont une terrasse bien agréable. L’hôtel mériterait néanmoins une rénovation. Cela reste un très bon choix pour une étape d’une nuit.

Un poco lejos de Kalambaka pero merece la pena

Hotel un poco alejado de Meteora, a diez minutos en coche de Kalambaka, pero con piscina, que viene muy bien en verano. Es cómodo aunque a lo mejor podían renovarlo algo. Las indicaciones en el GPS fallan.

Amalia lives up to the expectations

Nice vintage hotel, conveniently situated between Trikala and Kalambaka. Very friendly helpful staff. Rooms are a bit outdated, but clean and have good airco. Also very calm silent environment. One small negative point concerning the restaurant: every evening the exact same buffet choice is given. This might be OK for a one night stay, however some variations could be considered for those guests staying multiple nights.

Very nice and convenient hotel

We came during the Daniel storm. We could see very little of the monasteries (the purpose of our visit). However, the experience at the hotel was perfect. Very nice and helpful stuff. Great choices for buffet dinner and breakfast (half board). Nice swimming pool (we could not enjoy due to poor weather). Easy parking. Great room. All looks very clean.

Superbe séjour dans les Météores. Accueil rapide et efficace. Hôtel calme malgré sa très grande taille. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Literie de qualité. Bon petit déjeuner buffet compris dans le prix, copieux et varié. Piscine agréable et appréciable après les nombreuses marches pour accéder aux différents monastères. Nécessité d'être motorisé car l'hôtel est situé à 4 kms de Kalambaka. Parking vaste devant l'hôtel. Une très belle adresse pour visiter les monastères perchés !

Not what I expected!

The carpet in the room was old and dirty. The air conditioning smelled musty and the room was damp. The bathroom was renovated and that was nice but I seriously would never stay here again.

This hotel is huge! Set up for large tour groups and run efficiently for that but it’s good to be aware in advance as an individual traveler gets a bit lost. The rooms are nice and beds comfortable. The pool area with the bar is great. Nice breakfast too. The major drawback of this place is that it’s far from the village and its many dining options.
