"It‘s a great hotel but it’s at the extension of the airport, so lots of planes overhead. The breakfast and dinner buffet was very good, with gluten-free options. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The only negativ point is the smoking. Nowadays there should be smoke free areas. It was very disgusting to be constantly enveloped in smoke at the pool. "

"A short, 500 Meter flat walk to the best part of Laganas beach, but if you re looking for turtles come earlier in the year. The reception staff were brilliant. The rooms were a good size with good, hot showers. A quiet hotel even though it was quite full, in a quiet resort. Just what we wanted, all boxes ticked for us. "The hotel is in the centre of Zakynthos town, close to excellent local family run restaurants. Parking is a challenge as the hotel does not have onsite parking. The breakfast is very good with sufficient options to eat healthily (ie high protein options - boiled eggs and fresh yogurt)."

For our 25th anniversary, they surprised us with an upgrade from the standard Contessina Hotel to Contessina Suites and Spa and gave us a room with our own private pool, it was absolutely amazing. They also welcomed us with a bottle of wine and provided several great discounts throughout the hotel. The included breakfast was a highlight, with fresh-squeezed juices and a delicious spread I looked forward to every morning. But the best part? The staff who were all friendly, helpful, and genuinely courteous. Don’t even hesitate — stay here. Highly recommended!"

"Excellent hotel, staff and breakfast. Room cleaned twice a day unless you asked them not to. Relaxed atmosphere despite the hotel's rating. Excellent spa, cave pool (both free to guests) and massage services (for a fee although some days we received a free 10 minute shoulder massage by the pool). Excellent quality and variety of food. Gym equipment in both hotels was a bit worse for wear but a small issue compared to all of the positives."
