"The staff was super good. So helpful, they even walked me in the neighborhood to help me with shopping. The food they got me was excellent. They also helped me figure out how to get where I was going. And to get a taxi. Siliguri in itself is kind of a sketchy area, but it's inexpensive. And they are trying to make the hotel kind of an oasis in the midst. They were doing quite a bit of renovating while I was there, trying to make it really nice. "Excellent hotel. Very clean, modern and great reception staff. We were very happy with the rooms. We stayed one night as were passing onto Darjeeling. The evening meal in the roof top restaurant was a great experience. Very good food. Wonderful resturant staff. I would recommend this hotel for their service, high standards and great staff"

"Its a beautiful, nostalgic throwback to a colonial India hillstation. Darjeeling is wonderful and this hotel has memories, from the posters and photis on the walls, of life back when. I stayed in the Tenzing Norgay block, with old somewhat faded photos of the great man along every inch of corridor. But not everything works...some of the lights, the bedsheets dont fit, the towels are worn. None of that distracted me from the historic atmosphere of old time luxury. The afternoon tea was great, as were all meals. And staff exceptional."
