"There are different cabins, and it seems even between cabins of the same type there are differences (likely due to maintenance, since they are dated). Our cabin was out of reach of the wifi and vpn is blocked on the wifi when connected, so not very trustworthy. Area has some nature and the castle is not too far away, which can be walked around after closing time."

"A Great Place to Stay Hotel Packhuset is centrally located in Kalmar, walking distance to all the city sights. Parking right out front with attentive Reception staff Alexandra, Julia & Elly ensuring our three night stay went without a hitch. They willingly advised us on how to use the parking meters outside (as limited Swedish experience with this)…..and we arrived early - room ready thx to Tereza (housekeeping) and early access was no problem! We booked standard room with smorgasbord Breakfast, afternoon Fika & Dinner included. The room is very comfortable & the food outstanding. We had several chats with chef Roffe, who clearly loves what he is doing & it shows in the food. This fella can cook!! Gym & Sauna very high standard & appreciated to work off the great Swedish cooking!"
