Kamodamisaki Hotsprings

Overall hotel was lovely - great location, lovely reception. The downfall was the cleanliness of the room (dust around the bed, dirty under the bed) and the drain smell in the rooms. General cleanliness was okay but did need a decent spring clean.

If you can afford to splurge, this place is a treasure. Service like I’ve never experienced, and beautiful rooms and a great location. The restaurants are fancy French, also extremely good, but we didn’t dine in. This place is world-class.😊

From check in to check out, our stay was the best hotel experience I have ever had in Japan and possibly in other countries as well. We were escorted to the private check in area and then to our room. The private onsen in our room overlooking the mountains was so good that I did not want to leave it. We also used the hotel onsen and loved the micro bubbles one.. the location was perfect. It is directly on the river and the main shopping road. We found great food in the area as well. We did not have to get into a car. We also walked to many attractions and sites. There is a nespresso machine and a well stocked minibar in room. The roof top foot soak was great. The sleepwear, bedding, pillows and robes (plural) were all excellent. Absolutely worth the upgrade to the Bettei side of the hotel.
