There was egg spattered on the wall behind the breakfast bar. Rubbery scrambled eggs and leathery sausage. Dirt in the corners and sullen staff in a cheerless building. You know how dirty, sloppy places can sometimes be charming because of the easygoing smiling staff? This is not one of those. From the pot smell in the halls and elevator to the dim and dangerous stairwells, this is a sad depressing place.

I appreciated the location of this hotel—it was convenient and in a good area, especially during a very busy weekend when availability elsewhere was limited. I’m also thankful we were able to secure it at a reasonable price given how many events were going on. That said, the condition of the hotel was disappointing and did not match how it was presented online. The property felt run down overall. There were multiple water stains on the ceilings in both the hallways and our room, which gave an unclean and poorly maintained impression. Most concerning was a large, noticeable stain on one of the mattresses, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness. While the price and location were positives, the upkeep and condition of the hotel fell short of expectations. With better maintenance and attention to cleanliness, this could be a much better experience.
