"Front desk assistant Dianna was lovely, helpful and very friendly. The room was renovated and clean (though the bathroom was not renovated). The room was great, but the outside of the hotel was dilapidated and I believe was housing homeless. It didn’t seem very safe in the parking lot area and there were people smoking pot all around the property."
"We stayed at the hotel before leaving for a cruise out of the Port of Baltimore. The hotel was beautiful, and the location was great. Our only concern was the neighborhood We honestly did not feel safe walking around after dark. We were approached for money many times and there was what appeared to be a gang fight outside of our window in the middle of the night. The hotel did have great security but definitely would not return to that location."
"Apparently a staff member called out for work. I'm assuming it was the person in charge who kept complaining to any employee within earshot about this person calling out. Offended she had blocked her call. This person obviously needed the day off for personal reasons and did not want to take your call harrassing her to come in anyway. And as a guest, I definitely didn't need to hear about the situation through my entire breakfast. Unprofessional."
"This hotel is basically fine. The mattresses are not new, but that's not unusual. Mattresses cannot always be new. The nearby parking garage is not as convenient as an on-site parking lot, but this is in the middle of a city, not the suburbs. What really elevated this experience for me was the quality of the staff at the front desk. I'm a technologically challenged Boomer. I needed someone at the desk to show me how to get to a destination across town. Jayda at the desk was dealing with a line of people waiting to check in. The situation had to be stressful, but she calmly used GPS on her own phone to show me how to get where I was going. That's old-school customer service."
