Nice place in Thamel

Very nice staff, they’re very helpful. Very nice surroundings. Good breakfast. A bit cold in the winter to eat outside.

Book ANYTHING but this!

Do not stay in this hotel, even if it's for free. Photos are intentionally added to deceive you. They add all the room photos to all the rooms available so you think you are getting a room but in reality they will give you something else - of course something worse. They also add all kind of free services on Hotels.com add, such as free airport shuttle, welcome drink, etc when in fact they don't have anything. Don't expect hot shower but do expect a terrible smell coming from your bathroom. Staff was kind but manager is extremely rude. Do yourself a favor and stay in any other place around it - most with much better price with 100% more quality. Got deceived looking for a Boutique Hotel trying to get away from that international format from most hotels, but this one is worse than a 7 USD hostel. Stay away!

Not worth what they charge. Needs maintenance.

Moved here as it said it was a “boutique hotel” which it isn’t. Paid $58 night. Also said it was close to Thamel but quiet. It was next to a nightclub with music that went to 1am every night. Had no hot water for 3 days, complained and was told it would be fixed but had to complain again. Then when it was fixed I was told it was my fault as I didn’t run it for a couple of minutes. I ran it for 10 minutes. Had no wi fi in room, TV didn’t work, phone didn’t work, towels were old and grey. Had no cleaning for the 3 nights I was there. Not nice when you have to put your toilet paper in a bucket. Breakfast was good, staff esp. Kiron were nice though. If you want a basic hotel, there are others in Thamel for $30 night that do have hot water. Or if you want something better, walk further from Lazimpat and stay at the Ambassador for $97 night where you will get a new, real 3 star hotel with big rooms, clean bathrooms, separate shower with hot water, tea & coffee in your room, wi fi in room, fridge, lift, full buffet breakfast, etc.

Das Wasser war gelb. Es gab kein heißes Wasser und erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen wurde sich darum gekümmert. Preise für einzelne Services sind übertrieben bzw. werden sehr zu Gunsten des Eigentümers gerechnet. Erst auf Nachfrage wurde der Router im oberen Stockwerk eingeschaltet, damit man auch da WiFi hat. Für die Zimmerreinigung reicht es nicht, das entsprechende Schild an die Tür zu hängen - ich wurde noch zurechtgewiesen, dass ich es auch an der Rezeption sagen muss. Das Frühstück war unvollständig, bspw. gab es keinen Saft.

Home away from home

This Hotel is located down a side road and away from the busy main streets in Thamel. It is a true home away from home as everyone does their best to make you feel welcome in a calm oasis in the busy city of Kathmandu. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a little luxury and comfort on their trip in Nepal.
