"This is such a brilliant hotel for young families. It’s a really beautiful place with some lovely restaurants, bars & some cute additions like the gelateria & the little on-site kafenio. The staff are brilliant with kids and they’ve thought of everything you need. Malia isn’t the prettiest area, but parts of the Old Town are charming with some lovely, great value restaurants. My only criticism of this hotel how expensive the restaurant are. We chose not to go half board or all-included but I wish we had – I think it would’ve been much better value overall!"

"Stayed at NIKO for a long weekend in mid October - we had the BEST weather (sunny and warm but not too hot) and really enjoyed our time there. The views are just stunning (definitely recommend sea-view rooms). Great service and attention to detail. Breakfast buffet is excellent and all hotel staff from reception to bar/restaurant are incredibly nice and helpful. Thanks in particular to Manos, the night receptionist for being so helpful and welcoming when I arrived so early in the morning!"

"Excellent place. Amazing food (actually too good). Nice staff. Only downer is a 100 euro "climate crisis tax" slapped on your bill at the end. If you're going to obligatorily add 100 euros to a bill. You should say this at the time of booking. When do we draw the line on this? A "water crisis tax" of 20,000 euros slapped on a check out bill? I realise it's not all their fault. But more could be done."

"This is a very nice hotel near the marina, a bit away from the chaos of the center of A.N. but still close to restaurants, the beach, etc. The perfect location in my opinion. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room itself was fairly basic but clean. We booked a room with a large deck - enough room for 2 loungers, a bistro set, and a bit tub (with unheated water perfect for cooling off in). We spent quite a bit of time on that deck. Breakfast was very good as well. Good selection of foods in a nice room. We did.t try the pool or spa so can't comment on those facilities. "

"Amazing, luxury hotel with amazing views surrounding the whole hotel. We went towards the end of September so it was quieter and the weather was still great. Food at all the restaurants, including the breakfast and dinner buffet was amazing, some of the best we’ve had whilst away. Food at the restaurants can take a while to come, but it is because the food is freshly made and you can taste the difference. The only downside and why I gave 4 star instead of 5 star is because of the lack of accessible free drinking water on the hotel. To me this is a basic human need especially whilst in the sun and should not be used to make money. On the hotel site it’s self you can drink small bottles of water in mini bar which are €3.50 each, or in the hotel shop there were only a few small bottles for €0.90. Please just make it easier for people to drink water. We walked to the supermarket a 5 minute walk away every day to buy big bottles of water. We stayed in the luxury private pool seafront room which was incredible, waking up everyday to sit on our terrace with views of the beautiful beach and have our own pool overlooking it was very special. The beach was lovely, there is a small bit right in front of our room near the Elemis restaurant that is sandy and you can swim in. "

"I had an unfortunate mishap while booking. While every single reservation i made through Expedia was marked and billed at 3 travelers, somehow this booking defaulted to 2 and I did not catch the error until night of check in. Why would i when i had input 3. While this is not the fault of the property, they were not willing to help ease this unexpected additional $225 ( for a 2 night stay) even though room could accommodate 3 people. I DO fault the property for interrupting my dinner with my family while they were in the know of issue and it was in process of being fixed. I also received not 1 but 3 messages during my very short stay continuing interrupting my family vacation time i never get to have. The 2 messages were referencing needing the additional payment (after i already dropped aporoximate 900 for 2 nights!) They did receive the first of 2 additional payments at this point totaling about $1025. Interrupting the short stay for additional $125 causing great embarassmemt to me with my 2 sons as they didn't understand details and assumed mom was in financial issues which made them feel guilty for coming to this "luxury resort" we chose to splurge on for first time in their lives (20 years!) They felt bad which made me feel bad. I already was stressing at this surprose cost, so adding emotional strsin only made it worse. The 3rd message was because i refused housekeeping services. I did not see need for only staying a 2nd day. I was directed to go to front desk for that!"
