"If I could give this place 100 stars I would! Ray and Honey were the best hosts - so welcoming, the best cooks and such great senses of humor. The villa exceeded all expectations and my group of 6 were beyond happy. The place is spacious, quiet, clean and absolutely beautiful. Ray gave us the best recommendations and offered up a wealth of knowledge about the area, and Honey's breakfast was off the charts. "Stay was during May-25 at the Akohara retreat in Ubud. On arrival greeted by staff with flower garland, drinks and local traditional dance. This is definitely a couples retreat. Our room was six levels down a mountain, some 405 steps down. We used the inclinator elevator to travel between our room and main pool and restaurant. "We loved our stay at Villa Lata Lama Joglo and highly recommend it! It really has to be seen to be appreciated, as the photos don't do it justice. The joglo has been refurbished and outfitted beautifully but is still very livable. Lots of different spaces to hang out, fantastic pool that gets plenty of sun, and very kind & helpful staff (hello to Ketut and Seger!). "Super nice team of people, from the front desk, concierge, housekeeping and the restaurant team, all are very attentive and greet us with smile every time. When there were large amount of ants near by the pool, I asked for housekeeping and he immediately activated the pest control and ants were all gone by the evening. The scenaries are breathtaking, we just stayed in the whole day and just enjoyed the view from sunrise till sunset. "

Akohara Buahan Village Retreat

"Stay was during May-25 at the Akohara retreat in Ubud. On arrival greeted by staff with flower garland, drinks and local traditional dance. This is definitely a couples retreat. Our room was six levels down a mountain, some 405 steps down. We used the inclinator elevator to travel between our room and main pool and restaurant. We stayed in the Pertiwi One Bedroom Pool Villa, wow. Room is well decorated and of a very good standard. Out door gazebo area and sun deck with mini bar. Room has a four poster bed and seated area. Outdoor private shower, wash room all hidden away and contained within the villa no prying eyes. Pool is awesome with a built in bathroom on the side. Food is all table service and the quality of the food is excellent standard. The main pool by the restaurant is heated with multiple levels for some breath taking views of the tropical jungle. Went for a 3 hour couples spa treatment which included a massage, body scrub, body mask and flower bath and were given a choice of which oils we wanted to use for massage. By far the best spa experience ever. If our stay was longer would have definitely booked it again. Staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you and happy to assist and advise. All in all an exceptional retreat and one I would definitely recommend and return without a doubt. 10 out 10. Sukh"

"Amazing hotel in a beautiful setting and lovely staff. The best infinity pool and the best spot to enjoy incredible sunsets. The food is also excellent, especially at their Balinese restaurant and the staff is lovely, especially Rikki and Dipa. Would 100% recommend. "
