"We were unable to access the accommodation: upon arrival, we found ourselves in front of code boxes, no response to calls to the owner between 4 PM and 5 PM, no calls from him despite the message left on voicemail in English, no email indicating the codes. In short, unable to leave 2 children in the blazing sun, we were forced to book another hotel and lose the money for this rental. "We absolutely loved everything about this apartment. The location is extremely convenient and the city views from inside the apartment (especially the view of the church) was beautiful. A lot of space for our family to stretch out , we traveled with two teenage girls and it was nice for them to each have their own bedroom. "A place of pro's and con's... - location - middle of old town - very quiet and good location. - easy to access, key locker worked well - Flat had been well cleaned, EXCEPT for the toilet seat which had accumulated many months of yellow stain on both sides... needed cleaned properly with bleach/ anti-bacterial. The shower is also getting a little cold around it.. - The room was big enough for the double bed and sofa bed. However, no way would I try 4 people in there are the bathroom is so small...

"The Lubo is located in a very happening part of town. Charming squares, tons of restaurants and bars were footsteps away. The famous wooden bridge was a short walk and so was the promenade along the river. Lucerne main station is walkable, but be aware of the cobbled streets which make dragging trolley bags and strollers with small wheels difficult. Room was compact and fun with a queen size bed and two top bunks. Only complaint is that the AC was not very effective. We set it at 19 degrees C but the room wasn’t cooling at all which meant we were sweating all night. However we found that this is pretty common across Switzerland and we have been told across Europe. Definitely recommend staying here, we found it more cost efficient than other hotels in the area. The breakfast in the hotel cafe was yummy. Make sure you cross check the reservation number before you reach. The two numbers Expedia provided did not work so we had to call and get the right number."
