"Breakfast menu for westerners are very limited..
Big room and location is good. Few blocks from lake,
Restaurants and Shops. Short drive to the Oirase Gorge.
Very convenient."
"Such a wonderful stay again. The best thing about this hotel for me is the all you can eat breakfast in which they serve local famous ingredients like tomburi & nagaimo, Hinai-jidori tsumire meat ball.
Location is another thing I like. From here, you can enjoy a little walk around the Keijo Park, visit Akita-inu museum and appreciate the gorgeous view of Mt. Ho-o alongside Nagaki river.
Come experience all this and you'll definitely love it."
"The room was rather large but bathroom was a squash. An XXL person would not fit in it. Room was clean and the view fantastic. As mentioned paying in excess of Y35,000 you would expect a full breakfast option- no Japanese food but toast and jam - that's it !"
"Ryumontei hotel is a beautiful gem! The room was spacious and clean. The entire ryokan was designed around the gorgeous and huge Japanese garden which made every moment at the ryokan a picturesque moment. A must visit during autumn! The hotel was conveniently located within short distance to nearby tourist attractions such as oriase stream, lake towada and mount hakkoda. Oh and the dinner at the ryokan was out of this world! Sadhimi, crab, beef, fish, abalone... everything was presented beautifully! "
"The hotel is a bit older but it's well kept. There're 2 separate towers connected by a bridge. The public onsen bath on-site is separated into male and female at the annex building. The view from the outdoor bath overlooking the stream is truly relaxing especially in the evening. The resort is not a traditional ryokan, there's an area near the reception desk to pick up additional pillows based on your needs. The buffet offers many selections of Japanese dishes. The staff keeps everything clean and replenished."
