Ketchikan was a great town to visit. Lots of fishing options, shops, food and history.

Good
Its a lay over point for mainly fishermen/ cruise ships. Lots of typical tourist stuff. But it has the charm of "The Last Frontier". But its a little expensive for the basic things like food. And its wet. But it is Alaska

Typical Alaska on the water town. Tending to tour est trade and now keeping some of the summer business open year around.

It was nice to be a bit out of town, and not overun with all the cruise ship people. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Both restaurants were good, and the shuttle and bus system made transportation easy.

Amazing locals! Eighth trip to Alaska, first to Ketchikan and will come back again.
"We spent 4 nights here in July. The room was lovely. The staff were friendly...they even drove me to the supermarket across town in the hotel van. That was kind and helpful. We loved being on Ketchikan Creek to see the harbor seals . It's a bit loud if the room faces the street, but hey, when you are in the center of where everyone wants to be, that will happen. Thanks for a great stay!"
"Nice location from the ferry terminal to the airport but bus is needed from downtown. Local grocery is next to the hotel.
Room is clean and enough spacious. Kitchen is convenient but no kitchenware for cooking."
"If you are staying at a hotel in the summer, this is the place to stay in Ketchikan for a quiet, serene, Alaska experience. I had to leave a review just to mention they provide an assortment of pillows on your bed so you can find one to your preference. It’s those thoughtful little things as well as the welcome notes in your room that make this place special.
The restaurant on-site is a large circular log building with sweeping views of the water and waterfalll off to the side. We had the breakfast buffet, lunch, dinner, and drinks at the bar during our stay this week and each experience was nice and didn’t feel rushed.
