"Overall the staff, service, amenities, spa, kid activities and in-hotel restaurants were wonderful. The only complaints might be around the air conditioning usually in the morning. Being on the top floor paying for a premium service/room I would have expected comfort level of temperatures throughout the floor and elevator at any time of day. Hotter temperatures kind of ruin the experience if you sweat on the way down to the club lounge for breakfast right after taking a shower."

"Checked in Melia Chiang Mai, when we opened the door and entered the room, we could only describe it as "Wow"! The space is spacious and comfortable, and the interior is clean and tidy! The surrounding environment is also quite quiet, and there is a night market nearby, which is very convenient! We dined in the restaurant twice, once at noon and once during happy hour, and the service was very friendly! I believe we will come back to stay again!"

"Modern, comfortable hotel. Well maintained. My standout comments is about Breakfast. I travel a lot and this is about the first one I h ave come across in Asia that had recognised the differences between crispy/overcooked American style bacon and softer British style bacon. Thank you. I'll give you 10/10! And I could also get a decent pot of tea. If the little things matter in life, then this American chain has finally recognised that not everyone likes its hospitality 'American-style!' Well done. "

"Location: 10 minute taxi ride from airport. No disturbance from flights at hotel. Hotel taxi from/to airport very efficient - 300 baht each way (per journey, not per person). No great views from hotel but think most hotels in Chiang Mai will be similar. Hotel well located. Getting around: Grab (Uber equivalent) excellent and dirt cheap. Hotel: Staff at very helpful, efficient and friendly. Food in Brasserie very good at breakfast - usual selection of food with Thai specialities too. Food and cocktails in Elephant Club very good and very reasonably priced. Pool area lovely. Very quiet. No problem getting loungers. Poolside food and drinks very good. No smoking allowed which was great! Bedroom very spacious, spotlessly clean. Beds very firm but that wasn't a problem - slept like a baby! Loved the idea of the wardrobe having doors on both sides so it could be accessed from the bathroom as well as the bedroom - genius!! Was given a massive bag of food and drink on arrival which was much appreciated and very handy when we needed an early breakfast on the day we had a full day excursion planned and had to leave hotel at the crack of dawn. Fridge in room well stocked. Room serviced daily. Spa was lovely - had a coconut salt scrub which lasted an hour and only cost 1800 baht. Very quiet hotel, no noise disturbance at night."
