"Overall very positive experience with the hotel. I got what I was expecting for the money I paid. Clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast, excellent location. But surprisingly there was a kind of problem during check-in. They couldn't find my reservation made through Expedia in their system.So I needed to show my reservation in the app to get checked in. Also the transfer from/to Urgench airport is not free as it was promised when booking and costs around 15 $/€ But this is a reasonable price and all the transfers worked well for me."

"The location is excellent. Hotel looks grand and is openly visible from the main Ichan Kala. The staff at this hotel were pleasant and extremely helpful. They speak excellent english. On the night of our arrival, our Yandex driver was lost and we couldn't find the hotel as we were unfamiliar with the location. We called the hotel for help and a staff very kindly came to look for our car, and even took over the wheels of our driver who was visibly very tired from the long drive. He helped to drive us to the door step of the hotel safely, and even offered the driver a seat to rest in the hotel as it was very late at night. We didn't get the name of that staff, but hope that the hotel could relay our compliment and gratitude so that he can see our message to him. We are extremely grateful for his help, and we find his kindness very heartwarming. He definitely left a mark of great impression in our hearts and we will never forget that night. We are also very happy with our room, which was clean and very comfortable. The room definitely looks better than the photos I took. The breakfast provided was one of the best we have had out of staying at 6 hotels in Uzbekistan and as bonus it comes with great variety of vegetarian options. We had a wonderful time in Khiva and the hotel and the staff made our trip even more pleasant."

"As advertised, the experience of staying in a converted madrassah really enhances the experience of visiting Khiva. Great ambiance, and a 6 minute walk to the West gate of the old town. Staff are really helpful and a great breakfast spread to boot!"
