"We stayed at Kaya Villa in April 2015. Kaya Villa is a stand-alone cottage in Miyama village about 30 km northwest of Kyoto. Property manager picked us up at the local train station (Sonobe) and, at our request, stopped by the supermarket on the way there because we wanted to cook our own meals (there's no room service or restaurant in the village!). "Amazing price for our room and two meals! We stayed one night, with dinner and breakfast included at an amazing price, we were so impressed. The fact that you get free drinks at check in and with dinner is incredible given the rates in low season. Amazing deal! Please keep in mind that you really need your own transport to stay here. The hotel is off by itself, with great views, but nothing immediately nearby. "
