"Breakfast was very good, with a good choice on offer. There was also hot food available and although we didn't partake, the food looked very appetising. The room was large with a number of nice touches such as coffee maker ( pods)! Good quality toiletries and the room was very clean. Staffordshire were attentive and polite. Very enjoyable stay."

"Highly disappointing. A very, very run down hotel. Room had a disinfectant smell, bedding minimal, carpet needs a good cleaning, and basic shower unit - a curtain around a plastic base - with a blocked drain that risked flooding. This is certainly nowhere close to the ‘Very Good’ 8/10 rating as presented by Expedia."

"The Grand is a beautiful hotel in the heart of the city! We had a fantastic view of the church and the wheel and the room was large with lots of thoughtful details! The bar is lovely and we enjoyed the Friday evening Jazz singer. Breakfast was great and the staff were really helpful in finding options to suit my dairy intolerance. We will come again! "
