"Place is new, modern and clean. Staff needs better management. I called to request a steamer and was told I had to get it from the front desk. Once I get there they couldn’t find the steamers and said they would arrange for someone to bring one to our room. We requested extra towels and that also took at least half an hour to arrive. Staff were on their personal phones, some had a very unprofessional, unkept appearance. The cafe was okay. One barista was great but the next night a different person made our drinks and it was not the same. Pastries were not that good. But they had a nice, large seating area and board games. The gym was also nice. It had enough equipment for a good workout. We did have an uncomfortable experience with a housekeeper who seemed to be lurking and watching through the glass door. This is about a 30min drive to downtown Galena. Would be nice if they had chargers for electric vehicles."

"We had a great one-night stay. The prices were reasonable enough that we could afford 2 rooms for our large family. The kids enjoyed the pool, and mom and dad enjoyed the casual bar next to the check in. There was also a hot breakfast in the morning. We will definitely stay here again."

"The property is beautiful, but the building and the rooms are out dated. Then bathtub and sinks had stains. the rooms desperately needed painting. The beds roll. Almost fell off the bed when I went to sit down. Needs a lot of updating. You get what you get for the price. There is a language barrier. When we went to check out, I had woken up the owner. Noone was at the front desk."

"We loved that Brian was on standby with the shuttle to take you downtown Galena & pick you up, til like 10:45pm. Very convenient to not have to find parking on a busy weekend! Restaurant was great with wonderful musicians for entertainment! Will definitely be back for another anniversary!!"

"Room was very clean cleaning staff very courteous. The breakfast bar was just perfect for a nights stay at that budget. Didn’t have the opportunity to check out the bar and restaurant but had heard it’s very nice. If we’re in the Dubuque area again, we will definitely stay at this motel."
