Excellent service. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I had to extend my stay on short notice and it was an very easy process. They have been helpful in getting me transportation, currency exchange and several necessities.

It was a real pleasure to stay here. Agnes and Dahlia at the spa are lovely and the services were excellent. However, the rooms could use freshening up (but they were very clean), and the water pressure in the shower could have been better. Breakfast was good and overall, the staff were wonderful!

Great Kigali stay
Lovely hotel in a great location. Really lovely gardens and outdoor bar and restaurant. Rooms are a bit tired but very comfortable and great views.

Equivalent to a Motel 6, Skip and Stay at Marriott
I wanted to like this property due to its historical significance but the reality is that this is a run down hotel in need of desperate repair. By US standards, it is NOT a 4 star hotel, it’s more like a Motel 6 with a restaurant. Everything from the rooms to bathrooms, hallways and building exterior are run down. My bathroom had so little water pressure that I was unable to shower. My stay was so terrible that I ended up leaving and staying at the nearby Marriott instead, which is a nice and clean 5 star that was only $20 more per night than here.

I particularly like this hotel and have stayed here for many years; the staff, specifically is terrific. There is only one thing that disturbs me and that is the loud music played at night is very annoying. I always get a room with a balcony...I like the fresh air, and as such usually leave the doors to the balcony open. At night that is not possible... the music is so loud I cannot hear the TV or use the phone....even with the doors shut the noise permeates through.....I probably will not stay here again because of this....my greatest priority is to get some quiet rest and its now impossible.

I really liked this property. There is security upon entering the hotel so that’s comforting to know your items get scanned. They have 2 restaurants on site, a pool, and a massage tent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout each step of my needs. They even went as far as to surprise me for my birthday while eating at the restaurant!! I would go back here time and time again.

The property has historical relevance . It is extremely centrally located. Walking distance to restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and clean, although need some updating. I would recommend this hotel.

When you just really want a bit of pampering
A classic. Terrific professional staff, refreshingly nice outside restaurant. There were a notable number of solo beautiful women nursing drinks who were very generous with eye contact.

Safe and relaxing corona confinement. Good value
We spent one night in corona confinement and took one more night of relaxation. Very good personalised service at all levels. Only small suggestion is to modernize the furniture.

Cant substitute styaying here
It was a pleasure to stay at this historic hotel. The staff is excellent as well as the location. The rooms are pretty standard for the class but could use some minor upgrades here and there (nothing major).

nice view but bad service throughout
The hotel has an amazing view and great history but as far as service goes it leaves a lot to be desired for the price that it asks. For starters breakfast was very bland and not much choice. One day I found hair on my plate and mentioned to the waiter who came and checked it out and he just didn't say anything. Another day I got something on the bar and as I was with a colleagues he offered to pay his part in cash and for my part I asked to pay by card when I noticed the waiter hadn't bothered to deduct the cash and made me pay the full price through card. Even though i paid a premium price for a double bed room all i got was a room with two single bed with two single mattered stuck together and the only thing join them was the sheet on top. So all in all nice view of Kigali from the 4th floor restaurant but everything else was just crap

Beautiful and quiet hotel in the centre of town. Staff always friendly and very helpful. Our room was one of the cleanest I have experienced anywhere in the world. Breakfast has plenty to offer for those observing a vegetarian/vegan diet

The reception staff linked us to the taxi driver (Kalid his name, not sure if the spelling is correct) who they assured that he is a good city tour guide. In fact we DO NOT recommend to use the services of this driver ( or guide). The details will be provided direct;y to the hotel.

Ideal hotel for a short or business stay
This is my second stay at the hotel. I chose this hotel again for my stay because of its ideal location - near to the airport, shops and restaurants nearby, pleasant location. The whole experience at the hotel is one that is very welcoming for the traveller. The reception staff are very helpful and provide a prompt check-in. The room was clean and there is a kettle for tea or coffee. The hotel has a couple of restaurant options that offer a decent breakfast and other meals. There is also room service. The wifi service in the room is satisfactory. The hotel has good security.
