"We stayed at the Cypress House Inn in August 2026, I really can't say enough good things about our stay. We had personalized service from the moment we walked in, and by the time we left, Bill and Veda had us feeling like family! My mom, sister and I stayed in the loft, and it was the perfect size for us - plenty of room, and so thoughtfully appointed: dishes, silverware, even wine glasses (guess they knew we were coming!), a full refrigerator, microwave, sink, Keurig (and even provided coffees, creamers, tea, etc). The room itself probably could have used a little more light, but it was comfortable and decorated nicely, not over-the top like some B&Bs, and thoughtful touches in the bathroom as well! And the (included) breakfasts were amazing - always starting with fresh fruit, different kinds of coffees and teas, and better food than I've had in any hotel restaurant! The house itself is in great shape, very well-maintained, though the stairs to the loft are probably due for a little paint - but sea air will do that quickly. Otherwise, it was the highlight of our visit to the Outer Banks, and we'll probably find reasons to come back there, just to stay at the Cypress House Inn! Highly recommend!!!"
