"We spent 3 nights at the lakehouse and it was a lovely property. The staff went out of their way to help us when our tour (the reason we travelled to Phong Nha) was cancelled at the last minute. They secured a new kayaking tour for us and it was spectacular.
Pros:
* The villa was beautiful! It had a private outdoor shower and bath. The air conditioning worked perfectly and it had a balcony overlooking the lake.
* The staff were friendly, and extremely helpful.
* the pools were cool and refreshing
Cons:
* the included breakfast was not great. It did not have very much selection and was cold.
* the restaurant in general was way too overpriced and the food was not good at all. We ate elsewhere after the first night.
* there is a charge for using the resort kayaks, bikes, etc
Overall, we enjoyed our stay :)"
