"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "Great location. Room very hot and air conditioner didn’t seem to work. Perfume smell everywhere which I assume was ago mask odours but it made me sneeze."

"I understand this is budget. But the room was so small it felt claustrophobic, we paid for a room with a window but couldn’t open it. The aircon didn’t work and staff didn’t help just said everyone’s having a problem it should work in a house….it didn’t for 2 days and with no window to open it was horrible. Bathroom glass door makes so much noise when closed and as room so small it’s right next to your ear. Zero amenities and not one shelf to put any luggage or clothes. Wouldn’t do it again almost slept in my car one night. Parking is 15 a night but nowhere did it say that on my booking and there was no answer from my message or calls to the hotel."

"A beautiful building just near Banbury Cross with a large carpark. It was only a short walk to the old town and through the shopping centre to the canal We enjoyed a modern well appointed large room with sofa and Smart TV in the main building. It was unfortunate that because we were in a corner there wasn't a view of the beautiful gardens. The dining room was contemporary and did have that view. The menu had something for everyone and the food was delicious and incredibly well priced. Portions were large and service great. A good buffet breakfast was available for a small extra on booking. Overall an excellent value overnight stay."

"Very comfortable bed! A fan was provided which was awesome given the heat wave that was happening! There was an iron/ironing board and the room was spacious. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Had a great supper in the restaurant. Parking on site for a very reasonable price. Great location for exploring plus the area around was very quiet."

"A rather shabby hotel which save for the restaurant is served by obviously demotivated and poorly trained staff . The attention to detail was quite shocking . The lift was out of order to the the 4th floor and being " urgently " repaired - over a 24 hour period there was no sign of any repair activity , the bar crowded and sporadically staffed. The doormen shuffling about with their shirt tails hanging out and filthy chandeliers in reception. This hotel is an overpriced and dreary place ."

"Great hotel. Staff are exceptional: always welcoming, helpful and polite.Breakfast was great: served quickly and decent choices. There is plenty parking at hotel so you don’t have any distance to walk with luggage. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel where the buses are frequent and drop you in the town centre or you can walk the 20 minutes. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean. The only downside was visiting during a heatwave as the room was exceptionally warm and the fan was an essential addition to the room although air conditioning would have been great. The service from the staff in this hotel is the best."
