I knew what I was getting into when I reserved this hotel, because it is "rustic" and it is right across the street from the railroad tracks. However, I was a little disappointed with the size of the room (standard guest room). It had a cute "shabby chic" decor to it, though. Also, the bathroom, although "private" (in room) was not that private, as it didn't have a door! Be prepared to get to know your significant other a little better than you already do! haha. The trains go by much more often than I thought they would and they are much LOUDER than I expected. The hotel provides earplugs on the nightstand, but they do little to help you sleep through the night. The beds are nice, comfy pillowtop mattresses, though. Overall it was more fun than staying at a run-of-the-mill hotel chain, but don't expect a good night's sleep unless you are a VERY sound sleeper. I probably wouldn't go back, as I think once is enough for me, and I would only recommend it if you are looking for a unique experience.
