Ballymascanlon Hotel and Golf Resort

8/10 Good
"Problem with allocated room that was already occupied, to the embarrassment of the family that we burst in on. Staff very apologetic and upgraded room offered after 20 minutes wait."

Lakeside Manor Hotel

Lakeside Manor Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"A surprisingly beautiful location considering it is right next to the N3, however I hardly noticed the traffic and so enjoyed the other side of the hotel which runs right down to the lakeside (as the name suggests) where you can sit out and sample the hotel's fine food and/or beer. An easy bike ride away is Lough Crew which is well worth a visit for the full 360* panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the megalithic pathway tombs on top of the hill. Hotel staff were all helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and varied."

"Really a gem. An older building that's been kept up well and is very comfortable, charming, and unpretentious. Exceptionally nice staff; our room was very large; excellent breakfast and dinner; reasonable prices. It was only about 30-40 minutes' drive to Dublin Airport."

Innisfree House

Innisfree House

10/10 Excellent
"Innisfree House is amazing. It is over a century old Edwardian townhouse owned by Robert DeNiro’s doppelgänger. He is an excellent host a pours a fabulous shot of TyrConnell whiskey and is a great conversationalist and family man. Our room was opulent and cozy. Breakfast was served in the dining room every morning with a variety of choices from the menu. This was included with the room. There is a coffee shop and market directly across the street. The lady who runs the place is Gitte,( I hope I got the spelling right). She is warm and witty and a wonderful hostess. This place provided us with not just a bed and breakfast but memories to last a lifetime. I pray that I will be back again. This place is wonderful."

My wife and I just got back last night from 10 days all over Ireland and this was our favorite stay. Helena, Tomas and the rest of the staff are amazing! The room was perfect and everyone there very kind and accommodating! My wife and I are already trying to plan our next trip to Ireland so we can stay here again…"
