Our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait quite awhile. There were never cookies in the lounge; always an empty try. Ran out of in room coffee packets and hotel said they didn’t have anymore. They brought blankets and sheets to the sofa bed upon request but only one pillow. Rooms were ok but just need a deep clean to get all the sand out of them. Hotel rooms inside ok, but outside needs updates with rotting wood. Stag just weren’t friendly. The young guy in the evening was nice but the others didn’t really care and I felt I was a bother when I walked into reception. We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurants Due to the bad reviews and ridiculously priced breakfast. The restaurants along Cane Bay are good though. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Room and view were good. Only a very few of staff were pleasant, rest were moody and uncaring of their job. A shout out to Elsa and Dominique for their service. the entire stay was disappointing. Only 3 umbrellas at the pool and maybe 5 at the beach. Not enough lounge chairs at the beach maybe 15 and not many more at pool. this is poor considering the amount of people staying. You would have to wait and lunge for a chair as people got up to leave. Waited over 30 minutes to receive our drink order at bar asked waitress and said that they will get around to it..We left..... similar attitudes throughout resort. Front desk staff was miserable, didn't acknowledge you when approached and they rolled their eyes and looked at you as though you were an inconvenience. Outstanding service was received by Elsa, front desk when checking out, Dominique, waitstaff at breakfast, Dave, shuttle driver. Would not return and would advise others the same.

This is a beautiful setting picture perfect, some of the units looked refurbished some have plants growing from the gutters. Yes I understand it’s tropical but this looks like neglect. In our unit there was masking tape along the bottom of the doors leading to the deck. Only one spigot produced water in one of the sinks. We checked in for 10 days & there was sand on the floor when we arrived. Frequently no beach towels or room service. The staff was friendly but attention to detail was lacking. We scheduled a taxi an hour before arrival & we waited an hour past arrival & when we checked with the desk oh there was an accident. No thought to inform Us so we could use an alternate company. It was a whole myriad of things an expensive buffet with slim pickings & what was available was not up to standard. The bed was comfortable the shower hot & the view great but I would not stay here.

The staff was courteous. Enjoyed having the beach within a very short walking distance from our room. Breakfast buffet was very good but overpriced at $34 (used to be free as a Marriott Bonvoy member). Room AC worked well. Great king-size bed and pillows. Great pool area.

When I say my trip was perfect, I truly mean it. The location, scenery, and peaceful vibe were everything. The food was very customizable — just communicate your dietary needs and they will accommodate. Breakfast was amazing. This property is very nice. It is pretty secluded so if you are looking for more night life, this is probably not what you are looking for. Also, they have no beach towels so recommend bringing your own

This place is beautiful from the outside but there is a big lack of staff/dining options and it’s called a resort and spa, there is no spa on set. The main restaurant was out of quite a few menu options and we had unreasonable wait times each time we dined. The staff were very nice but were seemingly over worked because of the lack of help. It was very misleading, my partner and I decided to check out 2 days early

We booked a one-week Christmas vacation at Carambola Resort for our family, excited to enjoy the Caribbean in a beautiful setting. We chose this property first because it’s a Marriott and second because of the stunning location. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it was nothing but disappointment. Check-in was scheduled for 4:00 PM. We arrived shortly after, only to be told our room wouldn’t be ready for another hour. Not the end of the world, so we decided to grab a drink and an appetizer at the lounge. That decision led to our next frustration. It took—without exaggeration—45 minutes just to receive water, followed by another 10 minutes before the appetizer arrived. When the food finally came, it was overcooked and missing about half of the menu ingredients. When we finally made it to our room, we discovered there were no sheets for the pullout bed. We called three separate times and were repeatedly told they would be brought up. After waiting and it getting late, we walked up to the desk ourselves, only to be told there were no sheets available at all. Sadly, things only went downhill from there. Housekeeping was inconsistent, food quality remained poor, and basic service expectations were repeatedly unmet. If there’s one thing this resort did manage to accomplish, it was ruining our family’s Christmas vacation.

Room was okay- a lot of little ant like bugs in the kitchenette area. Could not have food sitting unattended. Whole facility needs updating. Cleanliness was moderate.
