"The stay was amazing. From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by the owners of the property who showed exceptional hospitality. The room was really nice and clean with an amazing view of the surroundings. The food was 10/10 with a selection of both local and international options. The owners helped with arranging a jeep for the safari and were ready to help with any other requests. I would highly recommend staying at the property if you’re going for the Yala Jungle Safari. "

"Once again I was very happy with the Jetwing brand’s seemingly unique capability to perfectly blend a rustic ambiance with modern comforts. Jetwing Yala is a beautiful oceanfront property that serves travelers exploring the Yala National Park. The road up to the hotel immediately emphasizes that you are in a jungle with its unpaved dirt road that leads to the parking area where the most friendly staff help unload bags and facilitate the check in process. The staff made us feel right at home as soon as we entered the modern open concept lobby with is indoor outdoor design. They also helped with arranging the safari ride into the park.
The room was very comfortable with a balcony with an ocean view and a bathroom that boasted a shower with an ocean view.
The breakfast buffet was convenient and delicious with both European options and traditional Sri Lankan fair. The dinner buffet also had many options especially for dessert.
The infinity pool was a definite highlight with its expansive footprint and beautiful blue water. There pool area also offered entertainment in the form of families of monkeys that roam around the outskirts of the property. There is also a poolside bar and the South frog is a must have after a swim.
The spa was also a wonderful experience and they even have a superstar massage for kids which my 10 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed.
All in all, we had a really great time at Jetwing Yala."
"This was a nice spot, and very comfortable room. Good location for Yala National Park safaris.
Breakfast was generous and we had dinner once which we enjoyed.
The pool can be enjoyed, but does come with some non-threatening bugs which I understand is an issue in many of the nearby pools. This didn't stop the kids enjoying it, plenty of guests used it and there were no after effects. Just a byproduct of life in the area!
I'd happily return to this property."
"My parents were there to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and although we celebrated a little late, they had such a wonderful experience.
Quoting my dad “The birthday arrangement was beautiful, the cake was lovely, and the famous DoubleTree cookie was the best. The breakfast and dinner buffets were both excellent, and the amenities were exceptional.”
What really stood out to them was the warmth and attention to detail throughout their stay.
My mum still can’t stop complimenting the food; my parents have travelled all around Sri Lanka and tried many different cuisines, so coming from them, that is actually really huge to hear!
Next time I’m in Lanka, I already know where my first stop will be.
10/10 for such a great stay!"
"We were the only guests in this sprawling property within the buffer zone of the Yala National park. The BBQ dinner under the stars was worth remembering. The whole property kept the entire electric generation system running for only 2 guests. The air conditioning was perfect and the view from above the canopy was very good. Mention must be made of Patisa and his team. The chef was wonderful with his breakfast and dinner. A great stay. Never felt unsafe as were the only guest on the day."
"Agreed by the whole family to be the best hotel and stay of our Sri Lanka & Singapore trip (overall we stayed at 11 different hotels of varying quality).
Can't really rave enough about this place. I wouldn't really call it a hotel - more like a luxury, boutique accommodation. Exceptional in every way.
Pros
- Service - exceptional, Upul is the only one who we knew by name but everyone was wonderful
- Pool - the hotel was full but there were rarely more than 4-5 people at the pool and even then it felt like you had it yourself
- Close to Yala National Park - kicking ourselves we did one safari here and one from another (further) hotel as it was so close to the park it would have been much easier travel wise
- Organised a safari for us from the hotel and packed snacks and cold water which was very thoughtful (we paid the driver directly and it was well priced)
- Yummy cocktails and good food
- Great value for money and even more so considering some of the other places we stayed
- Nice large, clean, modern, and comfy rooms with a great view of the fields
- The little extras make it extra special - they had archery, basketball and a mini golf course
- Serene and peaceful, R&R achieved
- Like an oasis and with beautiful, natural surroundings
- Space - just felt personal and like we had the place almost to ourselves
Cons
I can't really think of anything.
You won't be disappointed booking a stay here. "
