"The room was immaculate! The breakfast choices were great and there was a variety. We were in the back building and the entrance was a wooden ramp going up hill and there wasn't any handrail ! Very difficult if you are walking with a cane or any type of assistance.., There was a stone walk right against the building, but there was a large stone garbage can placed right at the beginning of the walk. I had to hold on to the garbage can to get on to walk. Then at the end of the walk, I had to hold on to the building to go up on that wooden walk to get in the building! I mentioned all this to the day manager, but he said he didn't think it could be moved .,He basically say it wasn't his problem- not in charge! The garbage can never moved!"

I would recommend checking out the downtown Ellsworth area as this New England City, while busy with vacation traffic, has a lot to offer and this property makes it an affordable."

"The room and hotel generally were great. Two main issues. 1. There is no elevator and consequently carrying heavy bags for a 76 year old was extremely hard work. I wouldn’t be so surprised if an elderly guest had a heart attack. The hotel should make it clear when booking and try and allocate ground floor rooms to the elderly guests. 2.. The road at the front of the hotel is very busy and noisy with trucks. Ask for a room at the rear if you you enjoy peace and quiet."
