"On arrival radiator in room not working and still not working when we left after 3 nights . Day 2 we had electric heater provided. Continental breakfast was poor no fruit juices or fresh or fruit cocktail ( or tinned. No bread or toast machine butter or preserves . Small boxes of cereals and unappealing croissants were there. Although this is our personal opinion other guests were saying the same to us. The general Manager was very nice and needs a medal trying to get things sorted . The kitchen is contracted to outside. Caterers who are not under her control. I politely but firmly Made my complaints . The bar service was good and was well stocked."

"Staff plus hotel great , please note if get to stop in cottages area , heating can be an issue , as I was told they will only put heating on for an hour , it was a cold night , gave me portable heater which if I left on at night the whole room would glow red , hence had to switch it off to ensure I could sleep without the room being bright . Otherwise great hotel . "

"I arrived early, but was checked-in immediately, being given a ground floor (windows onto the pavement) flat. The first issue that I noticed was that there was a dehumidifier in the bedroom with a "Do Not Switch Off" sign, and mold around the window sill. I was told that this could be switched off (too noisy for me to sleep), but they'd rather that it wasn't! A bigger issue was the stench coming from the kitchen sink, which was overpowering when the cabinet beneath it was opened. Again, there was mold. I failed to complain, or ask to move at this point - a mistake. On my check-out morning, there was no hot water. Otherwise, the finish and maintenance of the flat were all quite bodged, e.g. flooring gaps, bedroom door wouldn't close without excessive force (appeared moisture damaged), bathroom sink tap loose, heavy bath sealant, entry door gaps. I don't know if this flat (3) is representative of the others - I hope not. The location is good, as is having a washing machine, microwave, and oven."
