Tonsai Hidden away
Hotel was tucked away along the back alley. Big sign so it was clear enough to find. Rooms very big, basic features and the rooms were clean. Our only issue was there was a lot of construction going on, so lots of banging and drilling from 8am to wake you up. Also as you leave the hotel you are walking through a construction zone not knowing if the builders can see you from above. Understand that the hotel needs to run whilst this is going on but this would have been nice to know before hand. Also along the alleyway was always flooded, even on dry days. With the smell in the area I wouldn't like to think what the flooding is from and you have to walk through the flooding. Again not their fault but thought I'd mention. Guys are reception were friendly, otherwise not much interaction so not much to go on.

Nice property, even the direct environment of the property is still under construction, nice inside. in general for Phi Phi, be aware that the party with loud music at the beaches goes on until 2 am.

This is a modern hotel, room and property were accurately represented in pictures. Room was sizable and clean. Breakfast was good and included eggs, meat, noodles, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, pastries, etc.

Unfortunately the hotel was closed for renovations, and they only told me about it the day I was supposed to check in. I find it interesting that hotels.com in their listing said that there was only two rooms available at that price, one would’ve thought there would be more if they were closed LOL

These guys were a breath of fresh air after my previous hotel! The only gripe I have is that the shower water could have been a bit hotter! :)

Loved the room
We couldn’t find the hotel on our own however the locals there are nice and walked us to the hotel. The room was beautiful! The front desk was very nice. I wish our stay was longer but if we go back we are definitely staying here again!!

We messaged the property a head of time regarding adding an extra person, but the property never responded to us, so we had no idea about the extra cost which turned out to be an extra $50 AUD. The property is situated in the middle of the island close to locals markets.

An adequate room for a one night stay
Stayed in Deluxe Double room. It was clean apart from one small mark on the bed sheet and it had comforting decor. Good wet room facilities and had shower gel/ cap/ hairdryer which was pleasing. White walls were grubby in places and woodwork had a few chips in it but otherwise a comfortable stay and good value for money. Could be a really decent hotel.

The property was very run down. I can imagine back when the hotel was first built it was very nice. Needs a major revamp. The room smelt of damp really badly. The smell is probably to do with it being on a small island but more care should be taken to prevent the smell. There was a lot of lime scale on the taps, which doesn’t look very nice but again, being on a small island you have to expect these things. When we first arrived, we had dirty bedsheets. When we asked for them to be changed, they did change them straight away.

5 mins from pier, situated near the market area. Restaurants are just a street away. Hotel staff picked me up at the pier to help with my luggage. Room is clean. As this is an island you may experience temporary electrical shutdown. The staff will help to restart the generator.

Pros. Staff was nice and friendly. Very helpful. Located just outside of party area so pretty quiet for the most part. Rooms clean and an excellent movie channel as well as the room. WiFi is strong and included in the room. The A/C was amazing And kept the room nice and icy. Very close to the Thai market for anytime snacks and meals. Cons. Open cracks in front door as well as sliding door. Not the best for keeping out bugs. No hot water at all makes for cold showers all the time. You can’t flush toilet tissue down toilet. There is no separation from toilet floor to shower floor. Strongly recommend wearing shower slippers.

Very close walk from the Tonsai Pier. Room is well equipped with amenities to make ones stay enjoyable and comfortable. Nice, descent, and well-managed hotel.

You get what you pay for! Staff good, clean comfy bed and great location. Just a little tired needs some tlc, the bathroom especially, as shower didn't drain properly and taps etc had a build up of limescale. Apart from that we did have a good experience!

In love with Phi Phi and this hotel was great! Shame it didint have a pool but there’s so much stuff to do nearby and the beach is less than a 5 minute walk away. It’s in such a great location that everything is in walking distance and there’s so many restaurants to choose from. The hotel also organised us a 4 hour boat trip to visit Maya Bay, Monkey Beach, Viking Cave etc. which was absolutely amazing! The only downfall about the hotel is that the bathroom had a big buildup of limeskale on the shower knob which, although it probably was clean, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 3 years which was such a shame!

Decent place. good for a nights sleep. The room was nice but the restroom was dated, there was a large calcium buildup on the shower, loved that there were cats all around the building. what sucked though is that there are mosquitos everywhere. Everyone who stays here must bring a mosquito coil with them and light it in the room for the night. I got bit 20x.

Great newer hotel on Phi Phi Island. Big rooms with good AC. Cool lights in the rooms and nice balconies. Quiet and fairly close to the main bars and beach, but not very far. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Could use some touch up paint in the rooms where there is moisture damage.

THEY NEVER RETURNED THE DEPOSIT AND TOOK OUT MONEY
The room has molds in the bathroom, the aircon was dripping and the staff were rude. After paying the full amount for 2 nights, they asked for 200 thai bat on top of full amount for deposit and promised to return it upon check out. So we paid 2 nights plus 2k thai bat deposit. Upon check out, the staff denied the deposit. She never returned it back. Aside from they dont understand much english, the lady staff was a liar. i even recorded it in my phone. She denied the deposit we paid. Also when I came back to my room, my lugges were open. My camera was stolen. PLEASE DONT RISK YOUR STAY HERE. THEY WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND WILL GIVE U CRAPPY ROOM. IT WAS MY WORST NIGHTMARE THAT I STAYED HERE. LOOK FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE EXCEPT THIS MOTEL.

Relatively quiet for being near everything.
Basic amenities and Wi-Fi! Was able to rest well here. Keep the doors / windows closed to keep mosquitoes out. Ample space for a couple. Asian style bathroom and a no toilet paper flushing rule- instead there is a hose or the shower. Also, like most places here, take your shoes off at the entrance. I take mine off and leave them on the patio outside my room. The location is tucked away behind j.j. residence.

Hotel was basic but we were expecting this. A man came to help us with our luggage and it was about a ten minute walk from the peer. Good location near the beach- literally a two minute walk. Room was clean. Beds were not comfortable (unless you would like a very hard mattress). Also if you have three in a room expect the spare bed to be a very uncomfortable/small pull out bed. Earlier than standard check out at 11am - but we had plans for the day so it didn’t bother us. Very noisy outside but that may be just due to the other guests being loud at the time. Shower was great and powerful. A/C was ok but does turn off and on. It did look like they were building bungalows behind the main building nearer to the beach which looked nice. Over all average stay but good for price
