The kids water park seating area was constantly filthy. No one man’s the area, there is only 7 sun loungers so gets busy and dirty as they serve food here too. English is poor at the hotel with all the staff including reception. The pool bar was extremely crowded at times. King kids suites were amazing. Seperate room and bunks for children . Perfect. Great amount of space and lovely balcony overlooking play area. Breakfast was ample and something for everyone, shame the juices were not fresh. Food in the restaurant for lunch was delicious and two kids eat free with an adult course. No vegetarian items on the menu to take advantage of this offer. The kids club was huge and clean with a soft play area and lots of space however it lacked a sense of security. Children over the age of 5 could open the doors and just leave if they wanted without parents as noone constantly manning reception and doors are not secure. You could drop children without staff even noticing. This could be a disaster waiting to happen if not rectified soon. The swimming pool was good, crowded at peak times. Beach - awful corse sand/stones, not soft sand and jellyfish in sea. Also a smell of gas and lots of boats. Location - amazing. Night market few times a week outside perfect for street local food and lots of restaurants on the walking street close by - easy access from the back of the hotel. All in all an excellent hotel got children! Please just sort the kids club security out!

Fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn ! Family rooms were great . Spotlessly clean everywhere ! Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast options superb . Beautiful location right on the beach and lots of choices for eateries. My only one negative , not enough room around the pool so limited amount of sunbeds!

Awesome kids! Close to many dinning options, that are delicious and various priced. Food at hotel is great and kids eat free. Breafast was amazing, with many many options for all. Only negative is there is night market right beisde it causing some loud nights (but wouldnt deter from staying there again) 😁

Comfortable, modern and delightful
We did not regret staying here at all. The staff were just wonderful, the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had at any hotel, the parking was easy, and the room was huge and modern. The beds were honestly the most comfortable I’ve ever laid on and we were so well rested. Our shower was slightly flooding and within literally 2 minutes of me informing the staff, someone was at our door to help fix it. We’d come back in a heartbeat, and my only regret was not staying longer!

We enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn. The rooms are big, modern and very clean. The location was perfect, staff were helpful and the pools were super nice. The hotel is perfect for families, as they have splash area for kids, a play room inside and playground outside.

Brand new hotel very family friendly Spacious room with dedicated bunk bed room for the kids. Large shower and bath tube and a stool to allow kids to use the sink. The only suggestion to improve is to have a stronger moderation and control of the indoor playground area and eventually some kind of more interactive and organised mini club

We really enjoyed our stay here with our two kids (6 and 9). The facilties are so great for families and it was very clean and well kept. Staff always had a smile for us. The kids loved the water park and the kids club and we got to enjoy some downtime because of that. Well worth the $ for a super easy family holiday. Location is great too!

Perfect location - on fisher mans village - excellent night life - night market every other night (street food, fresh fruits, fresh juice, deserts - everything you want there). Excellent excellent location. Outside hotel on the right hand side can hire moped on the right hand side across the road, petrol station right opposite. You have the big supermarkets 5 mins away as well by car and chaweng beach/night life 10 mins

Room service was an issue. No physical menu in room is unacceptable. Room service ended early for class of property I expected 224 hour service. Price versus service did not make sense but seems like hotel is well occupied. Just will not include me in future.

Not great for families - Not recommended
Unfortunately, the stay in the Holliday Inn Resort was unpleasant throughout the stay. The duty manager (Mink) was lacking basic ability to solve problems and was very unpleasant. In the rooms we had sewage smell from the bathrooms, the pool was very slippery and dangerous for kids. The chlorine in the pool was too strong, and left us with burning eyes. I strongly recommend you try another hotel!

We heard about this new hotel and booked this about 10 months ago Meanwhile we started to receive some negative feedback about the hotel, but we were sure that as part of IHG this hotel won’t be disappointing. Even few days before our trip a agent advised us to cancel as this hotel is low quality. We paid very high price for this vacation. Wasn’t worth it at all. The staff wasn’t welcoming at all, very rude in fact. We asked to speak to manager but manger never got back to us. The property was dirty. They room wasn’t clean enough. The pool was horribly dirty. We even spotted pop in the pool!!!!! And no one came to clean The splash pad ( kids pool) was full of dead flies and leaves, day after day. Staff was rude, someone toke our towel and they didn’t agree to give us towel!!!! I had to walk all the way to my room wet as she didn’t agree to give me towel!!!! The pool is big, but no where to sit Pool bar staff was very not nice to hotel guests The breakfast is very very low quality, staff doesn’t fill up empty containers There is no room inside! You need to wait for 30 min maybe and outside it’s sooooo hot and it’s impossible to eat under such strong sun I won’t recommend this hotel

In the rare occurrence of pool contamination, our established protocol involves temporary closure, chemical treatment, and water backwashing. Hotel service is very very poor…. Employees are not nice and welcoming Most of them doesn’t speak English Hotel is not clean!!!! Kids pool was dirty, after we saw broken glass we called and no one came to clean No enough space in breakfast room and the line is crazy Very low food quality and the price is outrageous I won’t recommend coming to this hotel At least not for this price

Beautiful resort in a great location, that misses the mark by been too greedy and uses towels cards with hopes you lose at least one and pay for it. Another major issue is that not many sunbeds around, and almost no shades. You are left open to be burned. They do it not to block some of sea view from various rooms. Its Holiday Inn, very american style setup, thats not very thai, doesnt spoil you enough. Kids club is the best we have seen, amazing space and facilities, so kids will love this place. Adults, well, at this high price its a mix feeling. Our room was on 2nd floor with view to a parking lot, for over $300 a night not including breakfast. And this NOT a 5 star hotels by no means.

Great family resort… exceptional indoor kids playroom, great splash pool and playground. Rooms feel brand new, the family bunk room was incredible. A comfortable stay with room for improvement
My husband and I stayed at Holiday Inn Samui for a week with our 4 year old. We stayed in the kids theme suite and it was very comfortable. The resort is extremely kid friendly, from even having a kid section at the check in, to kids breakfast, to (upcoming) splash pad, playground (though we felt the playground is for slightly older kids) and an indoor kids play area with slides, toys, tv and even a Nintendo Switch. I believe you can leave the kids here but I’m not sure if it is chargeable. I stayed with mine as she played. Some things which we found could be improved on: 1. The breakfast was the same everyday. The Thai dishes were slightly different, but we found that the hotel’s Thai food wasn’t as good as their “western food”. We decided not to include the breakfast when we extended our stay and had breakfast just outside the hotel. 2. Their housekeeping was quite inconsistent. Sometimes they came in the morning, other times in the afternoon. Sometimes they didn’t top up the water and toilet paper, sometimes they over did it. (I did raise this to the manager of which he apologised) 3. I found the flooring at the pool area to be extremely slippery. I saw 3 people slip in the one week there 4. The safety and surveillance at the Jungle Book (the kids indoor area) needs to be improved in the sense that the staff shouldn’t just be sitting at the desk and allowing the children to swing and fall on the stairs. I had to go and tell them to stop the children.

Holiday Inn acquired a beautiful property. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. They are located on one of the best beaches and best entertainment areas. Holiday inn should charge more, as it’s very affordable.
