"The hotel is very well situated on the beach and has two very good restaurants. The highlight for us all were the charming staff and we enjoyed our few days very much. You do get used to planes flying quite low overhead. The hotel is freshly painted and there is a gym and a well appointed spa. "

"Finding the hotel was easy and check-in went by quick. I can’t remember much about the elevator in terms of size, but I do know that my mom and I, alongside each of our carry-on bags, fit just fine. The room was clean and the beds were good. I had no problems with noise and I am a light sleeper. The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is close to harbour and close to the main area of the city. It also close to two bus stations (one being the main bus station). The only small thing that I noticed was that the door that led to the balcony wouldn’t lock. I tried several times, but the lock just wouldn’t latch on. The area also felt safe, which was very important to us since we were two female travellers and we had to check out at around 2:00AM to catch the ferry. Even at that time of night, we didn’t feel unsafe walking around with our luggage. Overall, it was a good stay that is positioned well in the city. "

"Very nice place. Excellent breakfast, and very helpful staff. Located right on the edge of Old Heraklion, so it's easy to walk there. Just a 10 minute walk to the port, so if you are arriving or departing by ferry, you won't need a taxi. If you are arriving by car, just push the button at the entrance, and they will raise the arm for you."

Manager Manos runs around all day making sure everything is running smoothly in all areas to taking orders, clearing off plates efficiently, booking dinner reservations, etc all with a bubbling smile. "We had a two week stay May2024 and I have to say, we had a fantastic stay. We arrived just before the beginning of the season and it was pretty dead to be honest which was really nice to spend the first few days to relax. We mainly stayed by the pool most days and was very well looked after by Claudia who is a real asset to the team. She’s relentless in making sure you are well looked after. My main frustration is the rule around the use of the sun mattresses (yes that’s not a typo) around the pool being €150 a day. That’s ridiculous and there were only 1 or 2 being used, mainly after a certain time in the afternoon when things start to wind down. Personally, this is the one thing that needs to change as that’s a silly price. The food and booze is excellent although on the expensive side, you do get what you pay for so make sure if you don’t have all inclusive, you bring some cash. Everything else was brilliant, all of the team at the front desk and buffet breakfast should get a massive shout out. If we ever had an issue, it was sorted pretty much immediately. The hotel is situated 10 minute walk from the main town and you will find some brilliant local tavernas around there to complement your stay. Enjoy!!"
