Kramfors offers incredible nature experiences by the unique cliffs of Hoga Kusten. The High Coast invites you to spend some lazy days by the sea.

Go fishing in one of the designated fishing areas all year round, or bring out your inner adventurer with activities like climbing, hiking and beaver safari. You can spend a weekend in Kramfors any time of year.
The town was originally called Gudmundra, and got its current name after Latvian Christoffer Kramm, who built one of the first local sawmills. The area is famous for its logging, and there have been many sawmills here through history. Those with an interest in history has a great deal to explore here.
Kramfors is part of Hoga Kusten - an uplift which has rebounded around 285metres. This is the highest known uplift in the world, and the place has been on Unesco's world heritage list since the year 2000. The hiking opportunities here are suitable for different levels of adventurous spirits. Climb the Skuleberget on trails of varying difficulty or hike up the Dalsberget, which is the highest coastal mountain in Sweden at 332.5metres above sea level. At the top you can take a rest in the hut. If you're not so fond of walking, you can take the Hoga Kusten Lift to the top of Skuleberget and just enjoy the view.
Stay on the ground to go for a swim at Flogstabadet which offers three heated swimming pools, a water slide, a playground and miniature golf. You can also fish in one of the designated areas offered around Kramfors. One of these is Dockstaan, which consists of 17 different lakes and meres. Take a trip on M/S Adalen III on the Angerman River during summer and see the High Coast from the water. You can join a group tour or book your own if you're travelling in a larger group, and enjoy the wonderful Nordic sea food buffet served on board.
Kramfors is easy to get to from the rest of Sweden. There's a small domestic airport half an hour from central Kramfors, and you can also travel by train, bus, coach or even boat.
