The resort strives to preserve the island environment - avoiding plastic, reducing waste, making its own water and supplies. An incredible local community works to make that possible. The vegetation is just magnificent. You can walk around and truly feel the wild nature above. The reef is the main reason we chose Nika and it exceeded our expectations. Nurse sharks, Black fins, turtles and all kinds of tropical fish populate the corals, you can snorkel around the island the be able to see them (also depending on the season). The daily food choice is nice and healthy: lots of fresh fish, Asian ingredients, pasta and a strong Italian footprint. Few bullet points: *The original villas are incredible, but they take much of the landscape and the public beach surface is limited *Some activities seem too expensive. If you really want guests to understand the ocean and its fragility, prices should be more competitive *Entertainment is very limited. Maybe you want to consider updating the evening sessions. The last thing guests wants to see at bar is a ppt - we read presentations all the time in our office! Maybe you could set these at different times of the day, based on guest interest. Evenings should be more Maldivian, more music, more fun *Sometimes prices show older tax. Lotus Spa also not transparent, with fees changing from a promo to the final price *Beach staff not responsive at times. We waited 3 days to try a kayak; every morning we had to search sunbed cushions ourselves.

Pro- the beach and island are beautiful, fresh fruit and seafood available, staff are friendly and helpful. Con- too many mosquitoes and bugs outdoors, food were over cooked and taste was average, limited hot water, jacuzzi could not be used due to the old boiler system, any additional activities were expensive but not professional, meals included in half/ full board were not good so needed to pay extra to order from menu.

We were satisfied with the whole resort. I was especially thankful to Vector, who was in charge of excursion. The following three points are desired to be improved. 1. A group of resort owners behaved every day in the same way as customers everywhere in restaurants and bars. They were drinking from the daytime and eating at good seats in the restaurant. 2. The whole resort was not smoked and I felt uncomfortable at the restaurant. We want you to think about smoking depending on place 3. The excursion arrangement was always unstable. It will not be implemented unless people gather. So sudden cancellation etc. It ’s hard to get in touch. We want you to make arrangements and contact customers accurately.

We found our second home in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Nika Island! The staff, the water villa, the island itself and it's facilities, the food, the ambience. It's all just simply perfect. They kept the essence of the Maldivian way of living, architecture and luxury without being primitive. I mean, we've seen a lot of islands that dropped a 5 star resort on a Maldivian island, but that does NOT make sense. If you want the luxury you have at home, or at a Hilton hotel, stay home. If you want to experience luxury Maldivian style, with a lot of zen and relaxed vibes, come to this place. Time will standstill. You have to take a notch down and slow things down. There are no gas powered things on this island, all electric. They filter their own water to save plastic consumption. They are very enviorement aware and try to keep everything how it should be. Thank you Nika!

Overall we were quite satisfied with Nika Resort we rated it 4 out of 5. Most staff were friendly and the food was of high standard. PROS - Value for money, smaller more intimate resort with not too many guests, very accommodating as I have various dietary restrictions. Rooms in good condition. Also stunning views and amazing reefs. CONS - expensive food and tours. We had one tour booked to rashdoo reef and it was extremely choppy. Instead of cancelling/rescheduling the tour they still went ahead. On the tour we were trying to swim with strong currents and we had 3 poor swimmers (out of 5) in the tour which was hard. Because it was so windy and choppy the water was very murky and there were not that many fish. The most annoying thing was the staff made it out to be amazing without admitting the less than ideal conditions. Just another note the resort will charge you whenever they can (which is understandable) so just ask the staff if you are unsure. Examples are water with meals, tea and coffee from the bar. On our departure we also had to pay for our last buffet meal so if in doubt just ask. The staff members that are assets are the wait staff, Victor and the chefs they were extremely accommodating. However some of the tour staff and reception area staff were sometimes abrupt. Highly recommend this resort to anyone as we had an amazing experience. The villas are beautiful and the island is very scenic. We would go back if we had the opportunity. Well done Nika Resort

Incredible!

Incredible, idyllic resort. The reef surrounding the island is stunning and has an abundance of wildlife - black tip reef sharks, turtles, eagle rays, sting rays and thousands of fish are just some of the things we saw. The private beach was amazing and for many of the days of our stay we had two resident black tip reef sharks swimming in our bay! Amazing! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is delightful and plentiful and the trips to other reefs are expensive but totally worth it! The accommodation is beautifully built and decorated too. We will be back one day for sure!

la struttura è molto bella, piena di dettagli di ottimo gusto . Nonostante le ville siano datate, sono mantenute in buono stato. Il personale molto cortese. Cibo buono, la colazione non particolarmente curata. Frutta: quasi solo esclusivamente: melone, anguria, papaia.Praticamente mai mangiato mango fresco. Extra molto costosi: sia gite che vino! la spiaggia privata però ripaga di tutto.

Cucina di buon livello. Struttura molto datata e non da 5*. Materassi molto scomodi, quasi non ho dormito per tutto il periodo passato in hotel. Prezzi bevande confrontabili con altre strutture simili (5 $ al litro acqua minerale). Escursioni varie ma non a buon mercato. Barriera corallina, purtroppo, quasi tutta morta. Pesci in quantità non elevata. Soggiornato in water villa. N.B. condizionatore solo dove c'è il letto. Nel resto del boungalow si muore dal caldo. Discesa al mare buona con scaletta. Da tenere presente la marea che, se bassa, ti fa sfiorare le rocce e i coralli ormai morti. Aspetto globale del complesso non soddisfacente: non si ha il colpo d'occhio "cartolina". Dal mio punto di vista sono decisamente meglio le isole polinesiane. Su altri forum alcuni dicono il contrario... si vede che ho sbagliato "isola". Saluti Marisa

Fantastisk ophold i lækker Water villa... 6 overnatninger med all inklusive.. lækker mad både morgen, middag og aften.. OB’s at ikke alle drikkevare fra menuen er med i all inclusive, men barcheferne og personalet var flinke til at oplyse om dette inden man bestilte.. kajak og SUP inkluderet i all inclusive, så man kunne sejle rundt om øen som man havde lyst..

La propriétaire des lieux, Bruna est très accueillante et chaleureuse Aux petits soins et à l’écoute de la à moindre demande.. Rien à dire sur le personnel très professionnel et agréable également, c’était un plaisir d’etre accueillis au Nike Island resort ! La cuisine est délicieuse, le chef propose des plats succulents.. Et les cocktails et milkshakes sont merveilleusement bons ! On a beaucoup apprécié Le seul point négatif est pour moi la douche de la chambre qui est côte à côte avec les toilettes à même le sol (sans vasque au sol ni rideaux pour empêcher l’eau de se retrouver partout sur le sol de la salle de bain) ce n’est pas agréable du tout..

The island and resort was beautiful, we have 3 young children and the family beach Villa was the perfect set up. It's often difficult to travel with children, but we couldn't have asked for a better place. We could be swimming at our private beach while the baby napped right inside as the baby monitor reached. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Also, there was great snorkeling along the house reef. The meals are scheduled as follows: 9am breakfast, 2pm lunch, 9pm dinner. I wish I had known ahead of time as our kids are usually going to bed about 730, so we had some schedule adjusting to do. Also, the island time is 2 hours ahead of the official Maldivian time as an FYI. there are general bugs and ants around, which is to be expected on a tropical island, so don't be surprised when you see them, and they will come inside if you leave food out!
