"For those who are looking to luxuriate in the onsens of the Kii península… This is a place not to be missed. The cave onsens, especially, were both gorgeous and healing… The other ones perhaps a bit rundown, but still quite a treat. The staff were great (and multi-lingual) and my room was squeaky clean. "It is a hotel more traditional than I expected. No regular chairs in the room, we sat on cushions on the floor and this took some getting used to. The water view is pretty and the bento breakfast and dinner were novel and interesting. Also traditional clothing is provided to all guests to wear to meals and move about the hotel property. Shoes off to enter restaurants. Interesting experience. Good base to visit some of the Kumano Kodo Taishas in Hongu, Shingu and Naichi."
